Machine Vision Camera and Sensor Talk
I need advice for capturing 8mm and just want to make sure before I buy this Point Grey BlackFly camera.
Here's what it's got. Resolution 1920 x 1200 Frame Rate 41 FPS Megapixels 2.3 MP Sensor Name Sony IMX249 Sensor Type CMOS Readout Method Global shutter Sensor Format 1/1.2" Pixel Size 5.86 µm Lens Mount C-mount ADC 10-bit and 12-bit Quantum Efficiency Blue (% at 470 nm) 64 (Mode 0) 62 (Mode 7) Quantum Efficiency Green (% at 525 nm) 75 (Mode 0) 72 (Mode 7) Quantum Efficiency Red (% at 640 nm) 52 (mode 0) 50 (Mode 7) Temporal Dark Noise (e-) 15.06 (Mode 0) 6.97 (Mode 7) Signal to Noise Ratio Maximum (dB) 45.25 (Mode 0) 45.28 (Mode 7) Absolute Sensitivity Threshold (y) 21.89 (Mode 0) 10.93 (Mode 7) Saturation Capacity (e-) 33456 (Mode 0) 33723 (Mode 7) Dynamic Range (dB) 66.65 (Mode 0) 73.09 (Mode 7) Gain Range 0 dB to 29.9 dB Right now I'm using the camera from my microscope. Amscope MU300 Sensor: Aptina MT9T001 CMOS (color) Sensor Size: 1/2“ Resolution: 2048x1536 Pixel Size: 3.2µm x 3.2µm Dynamic Range: 61dB It's not bad but is the BlackFly that much better? |
