BD Rebuilder v0.34.04 (beta)
I've updated the first post of this thread with an updated link to the latest release of BD-RB (v0.34.04). Changes for this update:
Code:
- Corrected an issue that would make BD-RB fail if the HIGH_PRIORITY option was selected. - Corrected INPECT.EXE to not show the BD-RB version as outdated ("not current"). - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. |

I'm experiencing a problem with INVICTUS (region 2) and I'm not even sure if this is a bug or whether PIP or certain kinds of PIPs are simply not possible.
So far I have NOT burned the title to a BD-RE but will do so. The problem I have with this title is: the first bonus material of what is called "specials" in this movie is this PIP feature and the problem is the sound of the PIP commentary. it is a DD+ 96kbps stream which cannot be understood at all other special features like the "making of" or the "eastwood-factor" have NO PIP and decent soundstreams with 192kbps and they are perfectly fine. the main title is somewhat problematic in the sound department as well: I cannot get the main movies audio streams to play properly. They should be fine as they still are DTS-HD and DD streams but whatever language or stream I choose from the menu the main title starts with this crappy 96kbps director's comment and i can NOT change the sound in the usual way in the software player. As the title does not play on the PC I dont think that burning the tilte to a media and play it with a hardware BD Player will chnage things that much that the title can be watched, but I will give it a try. Did I simply miss those posts in this long thread which would have told me: PIP does not work yet? If so: sorry for bringing this up once more. If not: is there any setting I could change? Software players are not the best for testing, so you should burn to BD-RE and test on a standalone.
I'm pretty sure your results will be different, and it will also be a better report for jdobbs, who has stated he is not a fan of software players! |

Thanks for clearing that up I assumed it used a different algorithm by default. Do you have any plans to add more deinterlacing options in the future I find the current one seems somewhat jerky when compared to the 1080i source. Anyway ace software.

I'm somewhat new to all this, so if I made any mistakes below, someone please correct me.

My preference is to just leave it alone and keep 1080i. Last edited by jdobbs; 9th July 2010 at 02:40. |

@jdobbs
I have still never managed to do certain discs which have DTS-HD XLL Stereo soundtracks (Clash of the Titans and The Last Emperor) come to mind. If I do the discs to bd-25 and leave the audio untouched, they are fine. However, if they are to bd-9, the audio isn't heard and if I read the m2ts file into tsmuxer it reports it as unsupported. I tried again with the latest version and used the 'Use 192 kbs' option, but still the same problem. |

The attached screenshot shows the orignal stream and lists track 40 as DD+; the rb output of course is identical. Quote:
-- I now have burnt Invictus to a BD-RE and the problem has shifted: - main title can be played fine with both audio streams I wanted (English / German) and also has another descriptive English audio stream - when selecting the PIP feature there is NO sound at all although the information of the BD Player list the audio stream for the PIP feature: So I still cannot access the DD+ sound stream of the PIP feature. Has anyone successfully done this title as full movie so far? Here are the logs, just in case... Code:
