I'll set MIN_M2TS_SIZE=0 and look at what is happening. But I would highly recommend that you not use it for standard backups. There's just nothing to be accomplished by deciding to reencode 16KB files other than making things harder. This disc has almost no startups to blank.
Any suggestions on how to blank the warnings then?

Let me finish this encode and see if I can find out why X264 is hanging on that file.

Players are a lot different. Decoders, like FFDShow, and X264/LAVF require near flawless data. If you have a bad rip, these utilities will discover it. A bad press, scratched disc, or an improperly decrypted disc, or finicky optical drive can cause issues.

Playing is easy... a player can skip over errors and pick up at the next comprehensible point. But you can't do that when reencoding. Playing doesn't indicate "no errors".

[Edit] Hmm... guess I should have read the next message before answering. So... what omegaman7 said!

Oh hey, your input is always appreciated too While I basically meant what you said, your words are a little more direct.

@Capsbackup

I looked at what happens when 01288.m2ts of "A Good Day to Die Hard" is being processed. It isn't hanging on the encode, BD-RB has gotten itself into a forever loop looking for playlist interrelationships. I'll look at it tomorrow and get a fix into the next release.

Well I guess I am pleased that it wasn't just my settings causing the problem!
Thanks for your persistence finding and solving this "partial" user inflicted problem.
(I will set MIN_M2TS_SIZE=100 for BD-25 backups)

Yes, I'd recommend you keep it at 100 for all except when you have decided to blank. But for blanking there really isn't a lot of choice, since some of the annoying popups would be less than that.

I've fixed the issue for the next release (I'll probably post it later today or tomorrow depending on testing). With that one you should be able to set MIN_M2TS_SIZE=0 with no problems.

Thanks for the heads-up on this bug.

Perhaps I will keep MIN_M2TS_SIZE=0, and continue to test with it this way for the next several backups.

Picture-in-Picture no sound !

Ok, so I backed up
" Green Lantern Extended Cut " Blu-Ray
to a 25GB disc and I had encoded it using the parameter

DTSX_ENABLE=1

I noticed in BD-Rebuilder the secondary picture sound file was now automatically selected, whereas is was not selectable before adding the above parameter.

I was certain this would have worked flawlessly but when I
played the disc, still no PiP sound.

I am playing off the burned BD-25 disc on my PC using (tested in) both
PowerDVD 9
PowerDVD 10 <--- This is the latest I have. Sorry.

On integrated 7.1 HD Suround Sound, (yes ! all speakers turned on by the way).

Made sure that in the on screen disply I enabled both
PiP Video
and
PiP Audio to English ( the only track ).

but still no PiP sound. Only the main movie sound is playing.
(turned off the main movie sound for testing too. No luck).

Note: PiP Video and Audio is working correctly on my system off of Original Blu-Ray discs.

That is a known issue and for the moment unsolveable. For some reason pdvd doesn't like the way bdrb mixes the pip video back in. I have the same issue. Pdvd is a nogo on the backup but on the standalone it works just fine.

Jdobbs, I finally tested Quick-Play Backup and I have an answer to your question: Because in Quick-Play Backup BD-RB won't let me force a subtitle on.

Is there another player (software) preferably free that will play it properly ? I have already tested Media Player Classic - Home Cinema (64-bit) 1.6.7.7114 and it doesn't even open the BD discs properly and go to the movie menu.

I have also failed to be able to play the Blu-Ray rips from BD-Rebuilder directly off of the Hard Drive.

Has anyone found the solution to these?

I prefer to use Arcsoft TMT. Not sure how it is with PiP though.
