Count colors used

Hi all,
I wonder if a plugin like 'Count colors used' for VirtualDub does exist for Avisynth.
I'm not really interested by only display the count but more than store the result as a variable to identify duplicates or calculate an average for the entire clip in the goal to compare encodings differences/quality.
Thanks.

So such a thing can't be done with Avisynth ?
What a pity...
