@Kurtnoise

Ok, I now have the chapter markers working in MP4 output that is aimed at iPod/iPhone/iPad targets. As I'm sure you know that required an update of MP4BOX because it wasn't supported in the version I was using (v0.4.5). The capability will be available in the next release of BD-RB.

I read the earlier post where you said it’s only available in movie only mode, which is why I specifically said “(movie only)” in my post. To reiterate with (I hope) total clarity:
When attempting a movie only backup I am no longer able to right-click and choose “Turn on” to force subtitles. Single right click fails to cause the “Turn on” message to appear on screen (as it once did).
Sadly I can’t remember the version when it last worked. I’m currently using the latest version. The prerequisite s/w (Haali, FFDShow etc.) is unchanged from when the option was there.

Bug at conversion Blu-ray

Blu-ray movie converted in BD Rebuilder at fast rewinding forward in bottoms part movie sometimes displays stripes in green colour eventually in varicoloured stripes extraneous to now displayed parts movie.

Is that a normal effect if it doesn't what with by?

How Shall I set BD Rebuilder, to these stripes not displayed?

Thank all for help. Staina

sounds like a corrupt source. That's not a normal effect. You'll need to provide the BDRB log and inspect.exe results to possibly determine your problem

I just tested it, and I can right-click on the subtitle and select to turn it on, no problem.

there's likely your problem. The wrong FFDshow version and the codecs arent properly set in FFDshow. Use the recommended FFDshow version then set the settings properly

You are absolutely correct. I retested last night. I think what I must have done is used an ISO of a previously processed movie only backup and forgetting I had “full copy” selected because it looked like movie only as that was all that was available; thus it appeared not to be working. Oops.

- Which leads me to ask for a feature request. Could the option be offered for full backup? The reason I ask is that recently I imported a number of MKV episodes of a series, each containing subtitles. There is no menu (actually there is, a vestigial one with a starry background – goodness knows where that came from) and each episode follows on from the next when played (or each title can be manually picked). I have to use “full backup” in order to retain the multiple title imports, I would like to force subtitles on some as there is a modicum of foreign language (which is subtitled) during those episodes.

Are you ONLY playing back on your computer? Because there's a multitude of factors involved there. Decoding, cables, the list goes on. Have you tried burning the result, and seeing how your Standalone player plays it?

It can't, because the full backups have their own set of software (JAVA & HDMV) that controls these things. A movie-only backup can do it only because the authoring is done by the backup program and is completely within its control.

Hello JD,

Have you come across anything like this?

[21:18:47] Importing MKV: DIE_HARD_4
- Collecting audio/video streams from source...
- Building pseudo-BD source structure...
- Source issue found, attempting correction...
- Building pseudo-BD source structure...
[21:38:42]ERROR: Failed to build BD structure. Aborted.

I figured I'd have BD-RB rerender for iPad (2) from an MKV Video Intact & DTS to AC3 or Keep AC3 profile I made. It seems some other multi M2TS...MKV's created files have this error also. I'm getting info together to share. I did not abort the operation, BD-RB 44.09 did. Thanks.

Burned out on Blu-ray Verbatim and playback on Home Cinema where not display strip green colours, only display like varicoloured stripes extraneous to now displayed parts movie.

BD-RB first tries to remux from the extracted source (usually a .264 file) using TSMUXER. If that fails, it then creates a new MKV with specific settings, and tries to remux directly from that. If it fails the second time -- it almost always means the source is corrupt. I'll do some testing, though.

The Source was created with BD-RB. However, I'm testing with "Finding Nemo" and for some reason that MKV that was created has a corruption that MKMerge has detected. I'm testing more to figure what happened and I'm...wondering...if the old firmware for my USB 3 board adapter may have influenced it. I've since, updated the USB 3 driver and firmware.

Update...it isn't related to USB 3 firmware or driver. I think I found it...checking...

Update 2: I'll resume searching for the "Finding Nemo" corruption...but that's on "hold" while I'm checking some other MKVs. What I've noticed is: I added SRT Subtitles to many of my movies after being processed with BD-RB (Since no Conversion of SUP to SRT happens in auto...and I don't expect it..haha!) My Sharp HD TV does recognize SUP files as being there but won't display them. My LG BD Player doesn't recognize SUP at all, so I'm adding SRT using MKVMerge GUI to add them. Which both the TV and LG BD Player do recognize (since..standard). Now the the point.. In the Import process, of an MKV (SRT added) is where I'm noticing the 2nd..MKVMerge has to happen. It's failing the preparation process if an SRT is in the MKV. Are you able to fix/change that?

If I use MKVMerge (GUI) to reprocess the MKV, after Unchecking SRT, BD-RB seems to be processing well. Still testing...

At the MakeMKV forums ("Blue-ray errors" and/or "General"), it's been noted in several different posts that the commercial "Finding Nemo" Blu-ray discs appear to suffer from flawed pressings...
