hey folks,

sorry if that topic is already old (I guess it is) but instead of reading all 380+ pages of that topic I dare to ask right away .

i've got the problem that the sound doesn't seem to be synchron to the picture; while watching the movie the picture / sound freezes for some seconds every 1-2 minutes.
is that a common problem? and much more important, is there a solution?

It's supposed to be set to "libavcodec". Looks like ur FFDShow isnt configured properly

Everything works great on standard discs. When using a multi-episode disc it crashes after a few seconds. Message follows:

I see you fixed the problem by changing to the recommended versions. But you should also upgrade to the latest version of BD Rebuilder as well. It has a little better debugging output if you run into encoding problems.

I had the same problem with Terminator Salvation many versions back and gave up on it until DVDfab started to convert Bluray's and then I used it and it had no problem. So far this was the only movie to give me this problem. Also on a side note since version 33.04 and using Automatic Quality Settings all that have been done in 1 pass work and look as good as two pass but cut about 3 to 4 hours off a coversion. So now a 1 pass on a 1.5 to 2 hour conversion to DVD-DL takes about 2 hours and what a savings in time.

I made both a full backup to BD-25 and a movie only backup to BD5, of Terminator Salvation, no problems with either! I use XP Pro. So BD-RB worked fine for me.
Used Anydvdhd too.

As I said (and loaded on my computer and proved), BD-RB simply chose the wrong MPLS. It turns out that one was substantially larger than 00030. All you have to do is select it from the "Alternate Playlist" -- that's what it's there for.

Hello,

I have converted over 5 bluray's with your softwares with theses settings:

- avisynth 2.5.8
- ffdshow clsid rev3342
- BD Rebuilder 33.02

I try to convert an new movie; it crashed on first file encode.
I download new version 33.04; samething.
I've read the log, Inspector found "Avisynth not good version" and ffdshow "not good version"

I download ffdshow clsid 3326 and install it. Same for avisynth 2.5.7. Because previously i was using for ripbot264.

I reboot, reset vc1 to wm9 and samething.

You could try to put "MIN_M2TS_SIZE=500" ( or just larger than the .m2ts file BD-RB doesn't like ) under options in the BD-RB ini, and it should leave it alone and move on to the next file.
Try it, then load BD-RB again and see if that vid# is listed in the to reencode list.

You may also want to check FFDSHOW's audio configuration and see what is and is not enabled.

when i installed bd-rebuilder ... i dont recall now... but it had said one of my programs or codecs... wasnt configured properly for win7 and i told it to configure it properly.. im assuming thats the point where the audio stopped working

anyhow i just uninstalled cccp (codec pack) and reinstalled it and everything works normally again, and bd-rebuilder still works

so everythings ok anyhow ^^

I am stll getting slight motion blur on my backups, enough to tell the difference between the original, even though I'm backing up to a Bd25. It is more noticable in concerts where there is a camera pan or maybe the drummer is drumming. You get blurring during the pan or blurring of the drumsticks moving which weren't present in the original. I know I shouldn't expect it to be perfect as I am still reencoding, but most people on here say they can't tell the difference between their backup and the original.
I've tried doing movie only encodes with the same result. During slow moving scenes the picture is indistinguishable, just during motion. Are there any tweaks or setting for BDRB or for x264? Although the backup is great and certainly watchable, I find myself getting annoyed as I am always noticing it now as I'm always looking for it. Hope someone can help me out

One was 1080i source (29.97) but the last one, Bon Jovi was 23.97p and still was the same. What should I have done differently with the interlaced one? As I said, the original played fine.

The interlaced source would have been adjusted by the use of DECOMB's "FieldDeinterlace()" function. BD-RB uses that by default to remove combing effects. If you want to encode without deinterlacing, add this to your INI file:

DEINTERLACE=0

You can also use field delinteracing without blending rather than the default by setting DEINTERLACE=2.

As for the 23.976 source... check and see if the original used pulldown. If BD-RB shows a "*" in the stream listing, that is an indicator that the source was actually 29.97 as a result of pulldown.

I can think of no reason why you'd ever get motion blur on a 23.97 progressive source -- I've never seen it.

Hey jdobbs,

I have made a BD25 Region A full backup of Monsters Vs Aliens. The audio on the PIP Secondary video is terribly out of sync. Is there anyway to fix this? Otherwise the rest of the disc plays perfectly.

I ran Inspect.exe and I have all the right versions of the encoding software and I am using BD Rebuilder .33.04.

Is this a bug in the program? Any help is greatly appreciated.
