@micflair;
This is not present in your log above, as you stated it was earlier, which is why your backup keeps reencoding the menu files and anything below 600MB. So copy: MIN_M2TS_SIZE=600 just below the [Options] file and save it, then start BD-RB again. You should see less files to reencode in the BD-RB list. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this prob. I recently got a new Bluray player BDT350 and it plays most of my backup BD_RB disks just fine, but not all. It seems it does not like any of the disks that were created using BD_Rebuilder from about 6 months ago to over a year ago. They play on the BDT350 but don't have any video output, but they play just fine on my old DMP-BD35. There is really no rhyme or reason I can come up with that makes one disk play and the other one not unless there is something in the different versions of BD_RD that has changed. (I have the Startrek movies and none of the 1to6 older disks play but the Next Generation ones do and all were done around the same time.) I am doing a replacement encode now to see if I can use the new index structure to fix the disk and make it playable.

I tried default settings, but changed a little bit...and it worked ( logs attached ). Burned to a BD-RE and played in my Samsung BD-3600 player. Toy Story 3 movie has some frames which are specific for each language. So, every time these frames are shown, the image pauses ( not sound ) and is played again seconds later from exactly same point. I remember some Disney DVD's where it happened too. May be a BD-rebuilder bug ? Last edited by rilopes; 27th November 2010 at 10:57. Reason: Attachment |

Just encoded "The expendables"(BD-25) yesterday. Longest encode thus far. 13+ hours at High quality (Default) with quick encode for extras. I have a feeling it's gonna be a while before we tame that down to under an hour average :S
Jdobbs, you said you have a quad, I'm curious how yours fairs? My Phenom 940 @3.5Ghz is my X264 slave How long did your backup of "The Expendables" take? I'm planning a new build in february. Wondering if it's really worth it... Last edited by omegaman7; 27th November 2010 at 18:44. Reason: additional explanation |

I think DrKajun might be refering to the BDREBUILDER configuration settings. From my BD-RB folder:

@omegaman7
Hi! I believe that the reason "The Expendables" takes so long to process is that it contains an ENTIRE second copy of the movie as the "BonusView", modified for PIP with commentary (Does not appear to use seamless branching), as well as extensive commentary and a good number of extras. {My guess is, that when the producers realized how poor the actual movie is, they tried to add as many distractions as possible ;>}) Last edited by setarip_old; 28th November 2010 at 03:19. |

Sound is out of sync with picture
I just want to start off by saying this is an awesome program.
I compressed Splice and English Patient (movie only, dvd-9, default settings) and the audio was out of sync with the video at the end of the compression process. There seems to be no rhyme or reason because other movies that were compressed with the same settings were perfect. I recompressed Splice using the same settings and it turned out fine. I'm inthe process of re-compressing English Patient. Both movies had DTS-HD soundtracks. Any ideas as to why this sometimes happens? |

Not bad, actually, for a disc with 5 1/2 hours of content. Last edited by jdobbs; 28th November 2010 at 15:25. |

FYI: Regarding my Panasonic DMP-BDT350 (Quote: Bluray player BDT350 plays most of my backup BD_RB disks just fine, but not all.) Don't know if there is an easy fix for this but just in case anyone else has this problem, the difference between the unplayable disks and the newest disks processed by BD_Rebuilder are that they are High Profile 4.0 instead of High Profile 4.1 that was used earlier. I wonder when this was changed and why? I wonder why my older BD35 can play both and the BDT-350 plays it but with no video output. It is weird because you would think the BDT350 would like the higher bitrate allowed by the 4.1 profile, but I'm sure jdobbs must have had a good reason to go back to 4.0 from the older 4.1 profile. I wish there was an easy fix to make these older disks playable without recoding and burning all of them. At any rate thanks jdobbs for the great program, even if there are a few glitches here and there. It is a work in progress after all.
