I have made copies of Avatar, made 2 copies each in BD5 and BD9. Neither of th BD9's would play on my stand alone, yet played on the computer. I have a Panasonic B60, the BD 5's played on both, Used Verbatim 2.4X disks on all. Any ideas? Also one copy of each was full movie and one movie only.Again neither worked On BD9, both did work on BD5. T.I.A.

Did you use AVCHD patcher 1.06 before IMGburn? IF not that may be your problem.

No it's not. AVCHD Patcher is never needed. The problem is the Panasonic -- it just doesn't like BD-9s for some reason.

Hi, sorry to ask this as I know I have read something on this before on threads, I cldn't find it again. I'm trying to burn movie, full backup to DVD9. When done, it shows up as a data disc on PS3, and won't play on PC with Power DVD 10. Is this because:
1. DVD 9's don't do well with full movie backup?

or

2. There is a setting I have to adjust to enable this to happen?

Thanks

As for CoreAVC -- I can only say that I bought it, and ended up reverting to FFDSHOW because it had issues with playback of some sources. So if you decide to use it, always remove it and try FFDSHOW before posting a bug.

Yes, "Blank this stream" is planned for future implementation. Probably not for FFMPEG, although at one point I added that as a placeholder. Frankly X264 works so well that other choices (like I had in BD Rebuilder) seem senseless now.
Thanks for the reply - I only get to the forum sporadically.

I'll remember the AviSynth issue if I have troublke with encodes - which after my switch from Vista x86 to Win7 x64 hasn't been a problem at all. I mentioned this is Afterdawn's thread on BD-RB. As for blank this stream - it would be a nice way to edit - I'm sure it would take some doing - as the structure would change then (if used). And as for the encoder(s) - x264 is fine w/ me!!! Just wondering what the grey FFmpeg was for...

Many Thanks for such a great app. Go public someday??

1. DVD 9's don't do well with full movie backup?

or

2. There is a setting I have to adjust to enable this to happen?

Thanks
Was it burned properly (e.g. UDF 2.50)?

Experiencing the same problem with Alvin & the Chipmunks 2, Asian release. It flickers a still image from a random scene when you start playing, then it's way out of sync after that.

Tried re-ripping it, on two computers, even. Exact same issue. Gonna try ripping with DVDFab next, since it might also just be an AnyDVD glitch...

Sorry for the incorrect info, you designed the program so you should know....of the 8 movies I have backed up the only one I didn't run the patcher on would not play on my ps3, it had nothing but a black screen although the log showed no errors on the encode. The other seven played perfectly, so that was the reasoning behind my post.

I believe so. I burned with Imgburn, I have it set to UDF for blu-ray, even tho Imgburn checks this automatically.

don't know if this has been mentioned. The 2 encodes (batch) I did with 33.07 I checked shut down at the end and both restarted the computer instead of shutting down.

I will post logs if needed but they are on another computer.

BD Rebuilder v0.33.09 (beta)

I have updated the link in the first post of this thread with a new version of BD-RB (v0.33.09). Changes for this release are:
Code:
- Corrected an error in v0.33.07 in which interlaced
  sources might mistakenly use FFMS.
- Corrected a "PredictandEncode() 00058 2809" error that
could occur in features that consist of a large number
of combined M2TS files following a stop/restart. This
  error was introduced in v0.33.07.
- Corrected an issue in which the status percentage and
bar may incorrectly reflect completion status.
- Corrected a demuxing failure caused by long filenames
that could occur during and ALTERNATE movie-only rebuild
on some sources with a large number of combined M2TS
  files.
- Corrected an error in which "SHUTDOWN after Rebuild" no
  longer worked correctly in v0.33.07.
- Updated the FFMS selection routine so that it would
include movie-only encodes when appropriate. It seems
the seamlessly branching titles might cause "stutter"
  in that case as well.
- Changed the way FFMS is used to prevent short flashes
and out-of-sync audio on certain sources.
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
  latest release (r1602).
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

I am trying to back up the da vinci code which has a secondary video track for PIP commentary which I believe has it own audio track listed on the stream as "AUD_003(2nd)DTS-express,stereo,english" but I cant highlight to encode which I can for other tracks and subtitles if i want them added. Any ideas or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance

we can't remux dts express properly as the tool (tsmuxer) used for building m2ts files does not support them.

Is there likely to be a fix for dts express?

Use the search button. DTS Express is not currently supported.

It is a limitation of TSMUXER. So probably not unless it is updated or another freeware M2TS muxer comes along. I believe the Sourceforge team is working on one.
