If your system can't playback the original M2TS files -- then neither can BD-RB for reencoding.
It's cool! I've been using Windows 7 almost from day one of BD-RB with no issues so that's why I was posting and thought it was odd! Thanks for the look, I'll see what's there!

i didnt change any of the settings, im sorry but i dont know what DTS or AC3 is, what difference would it make if i reencoded to AC3? if you could briefly explain that would be great, i did full backup to bd25, and movie only backop to bd9 and both had exact same issues, used beta 25.04, running windows 7

DB-RB v0.26.01
If the field-based interlaced or hybrid VC-1 video is small enough i.e. not requiring compression to fit on the target, it is copied intact. The .mkv intermediate step is then apparently skipped and playback fails. In such case the .mkv step should be forced -- if my interpretation of the cause of the playback failure is correct.

Latest beta's exe is recognized by McAfee as Artemis Malware.
Just FYI

For all of the users of McAfee I'd hotly recommend these links:
https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/inde...ent&id=KB53735
https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/inde...=1249204244621
there are some levels of Artemis protection...
L0 Sets "Very Low" on OAS, ODS and Email scan
L1 Sets "Low" on OAS, ODS and Email scan
And so on (read above pages).
In my Viruscan Plus environment you can tweak the settings by opening the Register Editor and pointing at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\VirusScan\Artemis
You just need to tweak OAS, because running BD_Rebuilder won't be done from email
NOTE: this hint is only for advanced users knowing their stuff. That's why I'm not going into a step by step guide

Installed 3 Different version of FFDShow(not sure in which order I believe 64Bit, 32Bit,& then a multithread version [ffdshow_rev3048_20090731_clsid_icl10] & Then ran the Win7DSFilterTweaker_1.4). I dont know how or why but I am back in business and Watchmen Full Disc appears to be working. Thanks for that post suggestion JDobbs! And again for all your efforts!

@jdobbs

Well done on the latest release. I have just completed a BBC disc which had both the Audio / PGS issue as well as having the main titles interlaced vc-1. No problems and works a dream.

It's a false positive. I just recompiled and replaced the .ZIP file. It should be ok now. I wish I could figure out what McAfee is looking for... it seems to randomly show up -- and all I have to do is recompile on a different day to make it go away. From what I've read online, there are apparently other apps getting the same false positive.

BD Rebuilder, v0.26.02 (beta)

Changes:
Code:
- Recompiled to prevent false positive for "Artemis"
  in McAfee.
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

Interesting that I downloaded BD-RBV02601 and ran a full movie backup last night, it completed successfully, and then auto shutdown. This morning I boot up, and open BD-RB, and McAfee goes off. I did not even see an update from McAfee. This can get a bit frustrating, speaking calmly.

I don't think I understand. The only time the MKV step is needed is when the stream is being reencoded to AVC. The MKV is used as the source in AVISYNTH (the AVS file) -- and is frame served to X264. The M2TS source fails because it can't be decoded properly in AVISYNTH. If it doesn't need reencoding, it should be ok as-is.

You think it's frustrating for you? Try sending out versions that pass the scan, only to find out they don't pass a day later. I do remember the McAfee update notice popping up in my system tray late yesterday.

@jdobbs;
I have been checking a recent BD-RB PiP backup of Batman Begins with the original with CLIPINF Editor, and I have noticed a difference in the way it sees the Stream PID of the original versus BD-RB. It appears normal audio tracks have a Stream PID of 1100, 1101, 1102 etc..., while secondary audio has 1A00. Video is 1B00.
On my BD-RB backup, secondary audio is seen as 1102, the two audio tracks I kept, 1100 and 1101, plus the secondary PiP audio 1102.
This backup does seem to work fine, so you have adjusted the secondary audio to the correct track number. But does Blu-Ray compliance need to follow a certain standard ?

Yes, I meant for you. I'm just the lucky old stiff that still gets to use BD-RB after such a quick update.
Thanks for that!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. This has been happening frequently with a few other programs I use. Its driving the developers nuts. Fortunately, I dumped McAfee long ago.

Sorry, my post was not clear.
You are right of course that copying the m2ts file intact should have no playback issues on a standalone player.
The problem I have is with SW player (mpc-hc, vlc) which cannot play the sample clips (VC-1, field-based interlaced, or hybrid interlaced - progressive) which I posted/uploaded earlier -- the samples are excerpts from Extras of Hulk 2 Region B.
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...81#post1310481
However, when I make a blu-ray structure from these sample clips using tsMuxeR and force a re-encode with v0.26.02 the re-encoded .m2ts (AVC) can be played back with VLC (and with mpc-hc but audio/video desynched). So after all it may be just a SW player/decoder issue and nothing to really worry about.

Ok. I see. I'll add a "FORCE_ENCODE=1" hidden option to the next version.
