Surprisingly though all items were imported, processed and burnt to the disc including the playlists; it was only on the Stream Tab where some were missing.

Btw. could you already duplicate the .mp4 framerate issue?
That's how it's supposed to work. After they are imported they are treated like any other disc... and very small files (extras) are just kept intact to save time (since they won't save much space). Only the ones that will be processed are listed.

I see, this explains it. They are copied intact rather than being skipped - it seems I forgot that

Now there remains still the framerate issue. This problem remains as it happens already during import, it seems.

Source Issue found

Code:
[06:35:09] Importing: SEASON-2
- [06:35:35] Importing video file: (1 of 7)
  - Collecting audio/video streams from source...
  - Integrating into pseudo-BD structure...
    - Source issue found, attempting correction...
[06:38:08]ERROR: Removing compression. Aborted.
It would be really helpful if BDRB would log what the issue is. BDRB gets thru a little over 91% of the file before failing.

This particular file has been thru VideoReDo twice. The first time to create a TS file as a result of shortening the 2-sec blacks to basically nothing and to mark a spot for a chapter mark. Then that file is used to create the MKV file with chapter marks. VRD had no issues with the video at all.

I think I found it. Like I said, it would have been very helpful if BDRB would display the error. In this case, I believe that it ran out of disc space. While setting up for a sat feed capture job, I check to make sure that there is enough space for the capture. There wasn't. And looking at what was left also meant that BDRB didn't have the space either for the first file.

EDIT: Yep, that was it.

Hmmm... Let's see now:

1) Forgot the 'Movie Only' setting.

2) Forgot to check if there was enough space.

Yep, about time for 'The Home' I think...

JD,

Coming back to an older problem report of "Doctor Strange (2D)".. When I select to either Movie Only or make an MKV with DTS to AC-3, DTS is not converted (correctly). The process "looks" good as BD-RB's doing it but in the WORKFILES directory, the AC-3 size is 2.50KB.

With MKV it fails to mux, of course. But Rebuilding BD structure doesn't fail and when playing back with Player or PDVD12..of course, not any audio.

Also, a friendly reminder. Checked "Role Models" extra yet?

I can send you a clip of the offending file if it helps you
Does anyone have any idea why my 25fps file on import is being converted to a 23.976fps file? And, more important, how to avoid that?

@AmigaFuture

Sorry... I'm so many layers deep in the UHD muxing thing that I'm not really looking at anything else.

To everyone... please keep track of your bug reports so you can remind me after I make the next UHD release. I'll try to catch up then.

I shouldn't have to check for space. It is a computer, it is supposed to tell me these things when it happens, not crash the program and make me hunt-n-peck as to what happened.

I just discovered a nice new feature in the latest version, which I must have missed in the changes list. And that is the conversion of EAC3 file to AC3 files, instead of BDRB failing. I was testing the standalone playability of some MKV files and noticed that the EAC3 was being converted. I wasn't paying attention that the files even had EAC3 audio.

BD-RB tells you how much space you have available in the log. The secret is that you have to look at it.

That is true. The point is that most programs report that it has run out of disc space, Just being friendly to the user. In this case, BDRB ran out of HD space and went off in a tangent. The tangent made me believe that there was something wrong with the source file. IMHO, a bug.

If you are literal about it, BD-RB didn't run out of space at all, the HD did. BD-RB only reports it or shows it if "told" to do so, as other programs do as you noted. Reporting is different than causing. Windows will report low storage, only because it's programmed to. It doesn't "care".
