Nothing is impossible -- but I'd suggest you post something to substantiate what you're saying other than "it appears". You can always uncheck LAVF... I'd be interested in seeing the LOG of any differences you find running the exact same job with the same settings in both modes. Does LAVF take more advantage of extra memory?
The reason I ask is that I have two systems that I use for rebuilds. The first is Windows 7 Pro x64 with a Q9400 and 8GB of memory. The second is Windows 7 Home Premium x64 with a Q6600 and only 4GB of memory. I would expect the second to be a little slower because of the processor, but could the memory size be a major factor, as well? |

BD-50 to DVD9 and BD-25
Reducing a retail BD-50, ripped with AnyDVD HD, to a DVD9, through version 0.37.04, produce a playable DVD9 on my Oppo-93. If I try to produce a full BD-25, although there are no errors reported in log, this player will consider the burned disc as an Unknown disc and refuse to play it. The burned disc plays fine with Arc Theater. I've tried several unsuccessful tweaking with relevant settings but still, do not know what could be wrongly set. Is it a known issue with Oppo ?
Any hints would help as I've tried this procedure over several retail BD-50 with same results. Thanks.

I'm using this great program for some time. About 80% procent of backups were successful, but I also have the same error with some movies. Inspect: - Windows Version: 6.1 [7600] - AVISYNTH Version: 2.5.7.0, Ok - HAALI Splitter: Ok - FFDSHOW: 3326, Ok - WIN7 preferred AVC CODEC: Ok - WIN7 preferred VC-1 CODEC: Ok - WIN7 preferred MPEG2 CODEC: Ok - FFDSHOW VC-1 set to "wmv9", Ok - FFDSHOW MPEG2 set to "libavcodec": Ok - FFDSHOW AVC set to "libavcodec": Ok - BD Rebuilder v0.37.0.4, Ok - X264: Ok - AFTEN: Ok - FAAC: Ok - MP4BOX: Ok - WAVI: Ok - TSMUXER: Ok PHP Code:

Are you reencoding an original disc? It sounds like BD Rebuilder is attempting to remux -- but the secondary video track doesn't exist. That can happen when someone preprocesses and leaves out the secondary video. It appears there should have been a line like the one below for the last (00011) stream: - [00:xx:xx] Reencoding secondary video [TRK_02] I successfully backed up the US versions of "2012", "Last Airbender", "The Expendables", and "Salt" -- all from the original disc and all with no issues. just a clarification for step 8

You are selecting decoders through the "Video Decoders Configuration" utility's CODEC screen (although CODEC does stand for coder/decoder). The selected decoder is used during the process to decode the video and serve it a frame at a time to X264 for reencoding. On Windows 7 VC-1 should be set to "wmv9". It's unpredictable what will happen if you set it to "disabled" and depends what else you have installed that might pick up the decoding. Setting it to LIBAVCODEC will work on some sources -- but doesn't support interlacing. WMV9 on Windows 7 works with every source I've tried and I'm using it now. There are a couple of oddities related to VC-1 field-based picture formats (rather than frame based) that cause HAALI to hiccup when the source is an M2TS -- but BD Rebuilder recognizes that and adjusts for it by converting to MKV on-the-fly during the processing.
