Capturing video by video date in Pinnacle (not movie maker)
As rule I try to avoid MS products which lock me into a proprietary format, but I hear that MS will download my digital video from my miniDV sony in the format I want.
What I specifically want is to record all the video from a tape into different files based on the record date ( so I have a folder of videos where the filename is the date the video was recorded). I'd rather do this with Pinnacle if possible, but is it possible in Pinnacle studio plus 12? If not, what's the best way to do this (windows movie maker or anything else for that matter). Thanks in advance and HELP!!! |

Isnt WinDV comes with some serious bugs? It hangs up at any point of time and sometimes abort the operation for no reason.

The operation is aborted if the "non-video" part of the tape exceeds 5 or 10 seconds (which is usual for almost all devices). Never had any issues in several years ....
