Hi buzzqw!
Thanks for this nice app. I'm using it for re-encodes for the PS3 and it works great with AutoMen.

But the PS3 doesn't play subtitles until now, so only hardcoded subs would work.

A PS3-Profile with hardcoded (burnt in) subs would be great for AutoMen!

FIXED: Deblock (with D capitalized). only happen on 1 specific profile ) thanks to weaver4
ADDED: Support for List of file.
Drag and drop a file.txt with your file to encode (do this by dir /S/B *.vob > list.txt for example) and the same settings will be applied to all files (suggestion by bowo)

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hi... I am new to the Forum and very interested in the Subject making AVC Mp4 from MKV

- Howcome when I select PS3 or MP4 he makes me an AVI and not a MP4 Container?
I tried it a couple times and I never get an MP4 file or anything. Playstation 3 dosnt take AVI or?
Is there a way to choose mp4 container?

- When I play the PS3 or MP4 files with Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codec Pack) or Windows Media Player I dont get any sound or Picture.
What codecs are needed to play the PS3 files on Windows PC?

- Is there a way to set picture quality to stick with the source quality? That option would be nice.

- Is there Dolby Digital or AC3 sound support for PS3 or MP4 files?

- When I want to make a wmv the file is invalid.

the final file is named xxx_automen.mp4

(remember that for passthroug is needed the mkvtoolnix.. again.. read the manual)

I never get that final mp4 file. I always get a file named testaudio.avi or something like that. Is he not finishing the job correctly?

be SURE to set the mkvmerge path in "program path" panel, also where is located mkvmerge must be present also the mkvextract.exe (usually c:\program files\mkvtoolnix)

Now it works and i have a functional mp4 file.

But I still got some errors during the process. Heres a screen.
Is this normal?

If a mkv has more than one Audio Track. How do I tell him which one to use. And how do I tell him to leave away subtitles and so on.

well.. no, but mencoder is trying it's best
crc error it's related to audio a52 (mean ac3 dolby audio), so. could be some problem in your audio file

the selection of audio track is now aviable only if re-encoding.
If you use the "passthrough" features will be take the first audio track only
The subtitle track is actually ignored, and so not extracted or remuxed
