I outputed to DVD-5. Dvd compliancy. I rarely do it, but in this instance, I was both curious, and needed such a backup

Yes, unchecking things, is something I think I can handle Jd.

But more importantly, I would appreciate your responses here

The problem I'm having completing the command line, wouldn't that also occur if I tried to compress LCPM mono, since from what I can gather from the code you gave me Aften would be required for that as well.

And the system you set up XP on, might that be a factor if yours was a multi core with large RAM allocations?

To your first question, yes, but it would use DirectShowSource() rather than NicAudio(). To your second question, no.

That would be a different section of code... I'll check.

[Edit] The answer is no. Only an estimate is made. The subtitles are still in BD format at the time the encode takes place so their final output size is unknown. In fact, the subs are never a "distinct" entity from which size can be determined at any time, as they are integrated directly from PNG files.

Thanks! In the future, until this code is modified, I'll just remove unnecessary subs. Of course only if there is an insane stockpile of subs

Can you take a look at this: Running the command before the pipe.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>c:\accessories\BD_Rebuilder\tools\wavi.e
xe "D:\BD REB WORK FOLDER\WORKFILES\AUD_00001_4352.AVS"

Yields this

Error: Could not find PCM audio track in "D:\BD REB WORK FOLDER\WORKFILES\AUD_00001_4352.AVS".

_________________

"AUD_00001_4352.AVS" exists

#Created by BD Rebuilder - v0.39.01 (beta)
LoadPlugin("C:\accessories\BD_Reb\tools\nicaudio.dll")
audio=NicDTSSource("00001.track_4352.dts").Amplify(1.2)
ConvertAudioTo16bit(ResampleAudio(audio, 48000))

And "00001.track_4352.dts" exists as well 1.4 gb and is playable.

Does this indicate another problem aside from the stdin/out issue?

Also
".......aften.exe -v 1 -b 640 -readtoeof 1 -" can you explain this part of the command?

It might, but you haven't given WAVI.EXE an output filename, and I don't know what error that will cause. Add a space and a made-up name to the command line for output. Something like:

"D:\BD REB WORK FOLDER\WORKFILES\TESTER.WAV".

@sonate

Have you tried downloading and installing BD-RB again? There's always the chance that WAVI.EXE has been corrupted in some way.

The estimate is pretty crude. I'll see if I can find a way to be a little closer.

You'd asked for comments some of which I gave previously--this conversion has completed now and it all appears to have worked. The blanks were blanked yet everything "plays through" as it should. So thanks for this new capability!

EDIT: In looking at the .MPLS for the feature, it does appear that the non-Eng audio/subs are properly identified as fra, jpn, spa, etc in there. So maybe this is a quirk of my software program Arcsoft TMT 3; yes, it is. It is not a problem with TMT 5. Sorry jdobbs for wasting your time with this. I'll leave my erroneous comment here for posterity i.e. other TMT3 users may encounter it:

One other comment I would make, this disc does in the end have three Eng audiotracks out of 6 total. But after re-building, there are shown fully 6 English audiotracks (and 10 English subtitle tracks). Hard to find the "real" tracks out of all these--I wonder if in the future you'd consider letting the user assign a different code to the "blanked" audio/subs e.g. zxx or something.

@jdobbs (This seems to have fallen down a crack)

If I am doing a FULL DISC or MOVIE-ONLY and the main movie is 1080i, if I select "Deinterlace" from Settings>>Setup, should BD-RB convert it to 1080p?

It will deinterlace it (making it essentially progressive) but it will still be played as 1080i (because blu-ray doesn't allow 29.97 progressive).

If, however, the source is telecined and you have IVTC set -- it will be inverse telecined and become 23.976 progressive.

With or without "Deinterlace" selected as well?

Thank you very much. I'll check this out again ;>}

Attempting to do a full backup of BOURNE_IDENT, with Edit selected to enable blanking. I would like to test blanking the three warnings and the short 14 second long Deluxe Digital Studios advertisement. The files I want to blank are 00001.m2ts, the 14 second advert, 00003.m2ts, 00004.m2ts and 00005.m2ts, which are the warnings. Only 00001.m2ts is listed in the list available to blank.
( Tree list starts with 00000.m2ts, then 00001.m2ts, then jumps to 00010.m2ts, which is the movie. Then it jumps to VID_00050 and up. )
What am I missing?

The important thing is that if the original isn't telecined -- it is going to be 1080i not matter what. There aren't very many 1080i telecined streams. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever actually seen one.
