Automatic colorization by training with enough standard-data does work very well already, as we know.
Resizing with really(!) new created details seems possible to me this way, at least better than anything else. I am very curious what the next years will bring, in my opinion these techniques are one of the real turning points (in terms of software) of our time. I didn't test A. I. GP, I am sceptical that this already works, but maybe it does? |

Write an email to the Topaz developers and demand the source code for that program. Then, study the source code and use their algorithms to write an Avisynth plugin. If the developers won't give you the source code, use a disassembler to get an ASM dump. Figure out the algorithms from that. If you can't figure out the algorithms from the source, pay someone to do it for you. See, it's that easy.

Hmmmmm. It would be nice if they'd used a real low res source instead of downscaling something. It looks suspiciously (albeit slightly) undersampled, which real video never is.
It reminds me of the hype over "drizzling" for processing astronomical images - because it was used by NASA on space telescope images, it must be good for everyone! But in truth it only worked so well on NASA images because the CCDs in the space telescopes (can't remember if it was Hubble or another one) were spatially undersampling by a large degree, which is something modern consumer CCDs don't do. |

Btw. has anyone with a RTX card tried the free AI-Res Up feature on images from normal video content? (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce...nd-highlights/, https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/yo...u-want.424382/) Non-RTX cards can only use the gray scale version.
Also has anyone looked at ESRGAN (https://github.com/xinntao/ESRGAN, https://www.pirm2018.org/PIRM-SR.html) ? |

I don't have a RTX card, as for ESRGAN, it is available in WolframRhodium's Super-Resolution-Zoo.
There are helper functions named super_resolution in muvsfunc and muvsfunc_numpy that help you use the model files.

Doesn't look like noise to me. I think some kid drew phallic shapes on your image. Seriously, I lost count on how many times you asked that question about the same bloody image. Asking the same question over and over again and expecting a different answer is worrisome.

Apart from a little colour shift, I see no difference.
