That's strange, your attached image tells the same, but I swear that madvr had an EDID row on that screen for me.

Those are the exact same settings I posted, hm...
Maybe somebody else can check it as well.

Here is mine on a fresh install of Windows (long story for another time)… so This is with zero changes to AMD custom resolutions and NO CRU...

Also I have done zero edit yet in madVR so this is what it looks like on the previous page:

Thanks QB, exactly that's what I meant!
So, these're - again - the very same values that I got on mine and Mark on his.

So, the conclusion is, if you have these (preferably EDID) values and you have only couple of minutes reported by madvr OSD, then you can try to use my values in CRU without the need for measuring it with madvr.

That is not true.... Clock deviation involves too many variables such as audio device, system timers, and even temperature to name just a few.

Anyone else using a higher Gamma with their 2016 models? I noticed with my c9 that I found the low light scene compression handling remarkable. By far the biggest upgrade in picture quality for me was due to that. In running black crush test patterns I noticed that the lower IRE's had much less brightness than on the C6. With my C6 and a 3DLUT i used MadVR to process a 2.6 pure Power Gamma to achieve similar results. It made low light, grainy and high compression noise scenes really look so much better. Not quite the C9 level but a huge upgrade nonetheless.

Turning off LG OLED TV and PC after playback

The previously mentioned method wasn't reliable, so I came up with this "mpc-be.cmd" script for MPC-BE/HC with the help of aiopylgtv (witten in python) and psshutdown:

Code:
REM Script to run mpc-be and commands after it exited

cd d:\Progs\MPC-BE\

mpc-be64.exe && aiopylgtvcommand 192.168.1.78 power_off && C:\Windows\psshutdown.exe -d -t 00
How to use it:
- create a shortcut for it on the desktop and run it if you need this functionality
- set "Exit" (!) in "After Playback" in the player if you want them to turn off (e.g. with this remote)
- you can still close the batch window (it doesn't close the player) if you don't want to turn them off

It's unpredictable and often brightens midtones. So for many it doesn't follow the PQ curve.
Otherwise, in my opinion it makes some scenes too bright for no reason.

I used it for a while, because it made things seemingly brighter, but for about a year now, I've had it disabled, and I will never look back. It just messes with the picture in ways I do not appreciate.

I can't stand it personally. Especially once you calibrate your display and use madvr for tone mapping, the limitations of LG DTM are glaring. As others have said, it badly messes with the picture in not so pleasant ways.

Agreed... I thought it was nice at first, but it turned out to be rubbish.

Thanks for these values! Finally I have perfect playback with madvr. Do you happen to have timings for 59 hz and 25 hz?

I actually don’t have any 25 hz content, but I do have Gemini man at 59 hz and it’s dropping frames every minute.

Be certain that's a timing issue and not a rendering issue. That's a much more demanding framerate for UHD playback in madvr.

It’s a timing issue. My render times are at 10 ms and the render time for 60 hz is at slightly above 16 ms.

Ok, just wanted to rule that out because 60Hz UHD's are punishing depending on settings used. Hopefully someone has the timings you're looking for on that one.

Oh yeah, I had to turn chroma to jinc to keep it under 16 ms. I can’t use pixel shaders dynamic tonemapping either. Just pass through hdr.

I tried measuring the timings myself, but madvr is giving me an error that says the gpu has rejected it. It does it for both 59 and 60 hz in the custom mode.

Thankfully both 24 FPS and 25 FPS content plays perfectly with nvidia default timings. So the only content I can’t properly play back is 59/60 hz content.

I'm glad it worked finally. What does madvr OSD state for 59 and 60 HZ for you? (Personally I only applied to 23p, because it's pretty rare to watch 59/60p).

Hello guys.
After the latest AMD update, the HDR function works perfectly.
I own an LG OLED B9 and a RX 5700 XT video card. Are these settings okay?
