Just a thought... could you not deinterlace using the current method and then run it throughh a framerate doubler like the one in FFDSHOW or does that still reduce the detail. When I encode interlaced DVD's I always use something like yadif 2x to make it 60fps it makes a real difference to me and cleans up alot more of the jaggies. Is there a thread on how to use the filter editor thanks again! |

*slaps self* /facepalm don't know how i could have missed that one lol. Found it at the bottom. Must have overlooked. Thanks for adding the priority choises mate. Any chance of also being able to select target drive from the gui like you added my suggestion of removing the output folder in the gui. I'd be really gratefull. Keep up the good work. Even though i'm not capable of donating i really appreciate all the hard work (and the dev's of the dependant tools) put into the application(s). ya get 5 stars from me mate |

BD-RB Not Honoring Target Size
I'm running version 0.34.2 on Vista. I've run the inspector program and every line ends with "Ok". Nevertheless, the two DL discs I've tried to reduce in size to BD-25 have overshot the mark by several gigabytes.
The first one I tried a week ago (The Green Mile) and have since deleted the files. The second one I just tried (Starship Troopers), and set at Full Disc with target size BD25, it produces a 35GB BDMV folder. It seems as though it's not reencoding any video, just stripping out unwanted languages and AC3 tracks. What gives? I've installed and configured all the additional software apparently to the inspector program's liking, and have not messed with the default settings. Code:

Could you post the BDREBUILDER.INI file? The "USE_ORIGINAL=1" entries in the INF file makes it look like it's trying to keep the original stream when it shouldn't. The only way I can think that would cause that is if the hidden option "FORCE_NOENCODE=1" is set in the INI.
If you add "FORCE_ENCODE=1" to your INI file it should force BD-RB to reencode all the streams. Last edited by jdobbs; 9th July 2010 at 21:46. |

Hi jdobbs,
Thanks for your quick reply. Here's my INI file -- I didn't see FORCE_NOENCODE but I'll add FORCE_ENCODE=1 and see what happens. Code:
[Options] MODE=0 ENCODE_QUALITY=0 ONEPASS_ENCODING=2 AUTO_QUALITY=1 TARGET_SIZE=23200 AUDIO_TO_KEEP=eng;fas; SUBS_TO_KEEP=eng; SD_CONVERT=0 COLOR_BOOST=0 RESIZE_1080=0 DEINTERLACE=1 DTS_REENCODE=1 AC3_REENCODE=1 AC3_640=1 AC3_192=0 KEEP_HD_AUDIO=0 AVCHD=0 REMOVE_WORKFILES=1 FULL_AVCHD=0 REMOVE_OUTPUT=0 AUDIO_TRACK_LIMIT=1 SUBTITLE_TRACK_LIMIT=1 CUSTOM_TARGET_SIZE=23450 [Paths] WORKING_PATH=\\.PSF\EXTRA\BD\TEMP\ SOURCE_PATH=W:\BD\DECRYPTED\STARTSHIP_TROOPERS_1_P1\ |

yup that one. The one thats already available via hidden command. I'd love a dropdown box. The reason is that i have 3 burners and 2 of them are bd-'s. When i fire up 2 instances of imgburn and burn 2 discs. IMGburn remembers the last drive used (F: in case i burn a BD). However when i only burn 1 image i use my LG BH10LS30 and that one is designated E:
The issue is that even with a blank inside, imgburn does not see that there is a blank in E: but remembers drive F: and aborts the burn, wich in turn reports to BDRB that it failed to burn. I know it's not really a BDRB bug or issue though i'd love to see it implemented. If and how i'll leave up to you. ** edit ** is there any way you could have the total completion percentage display in a tray balloon, like you currently display it when BDRB isnt minimised to tray ? I really dislike this about Blu-ray players, a real PITA just to try and watch the PiP feature, since you have to have the audio set this way for it to work. |

Thanks a lot, Capsbackup, you were right on spot:
as soon as I changed my standard setting from "Bitstream audiophile" to "Bitstream re-encoding" the PIP-commentary was available. So far I cared for PIP bonus but in the case of Invictus I was curious and learnt something new. |

Keep running into a repeated stall out on rebuild of "Pixar Shorts Vol. 1." Win7 Pro 64-bit, 10GB RAM, standard All Backup/x264/Auto ImgBurn settings I've used on dozens of other titles w/ my setup. Rips fine w/ AnyDVD, BD-Rebuilder v34.02 gets to re-encoding the final track #29 and stops at 10.02% (have attempted a fresh rip and re-starting the re-build, seems to go fine until exactly the same point in the same track each time--5 or 6 attempts, updated my BD-Rebuilder to v34.04 and same thing). I have made a full disc backup of AUSTRALIA LAND BEYOND TIME to BD5 using BD-RBV03404, and though BD-RB completes successfully, the movie is unplayable because when it goes to the main menu after a couple of adverts, there are no button highlights, thus there is no way to select play, scenes, extras etc...
The menu is displayed, but no way to arrow to a selectable button, and pressing enter does nothing. |
