Removing HDR

Hello Everybody,

First, I'm not sure if this is the right sub-thread. If not, could you please tell me, where do ask this question again?

After downloading the Mandalorian in 4k HDR i've noticed that it's a little dark. On various forums i've read that Disney capped it at 200 nits. Therefore i was wondering if its possible to remove HDR from a video stream or the mkv-container ?

If yes, does the 4k video itself stays untouched or does a re-encode takes place?

Greetings
