For information, the same clip plays with no problem on MPC HC (portable), VLC, SMPlayer (portable).

I'm running Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) v. 1809.
Fixed. Thanks for info.

@wushantao
Thank. Updated in r4237.
But I have a question. Why did you change the previously translated strings?

Just-so-people-know... VLC v3.0.4 plays it incorrectly too

is there any reason the wasapi render from MPC-BE doesn't see the 7.1 simulated channels from windows sonic or simply can't use it?

steps to reproduce:
you need windows 10.
go to sounds-> playback device -> your playback device (preferable analogue) -> spatial sound -> select "windows sonic for headphones" _< tick "turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound"

play a 7.1 file with directsound it will render 7.1 as far as i can see.
play a 7.1 file with mpc-be internal audio renderer it shows down mixing to stereo.

I thinks besause WASAPI don't support "7.1 virtual surround sound".

is there a way to check this?

i mean this option is from Microsoft itself kind of odd if Microsoft has not seen this combination.

Hey.
Does anyone have a sample (MOV) with video in 'b16g' (Apple 16-bit Gray) format?

I'm not familiar with that format at all...

A few issues to report:

Player can't resume playback until all the stream has been downloaded. Steps:
- have "Remember file position" enabled in the player options
- open the URL to some long youtube video (like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_xqBidOjpQ)
- after 5 minutes or so, stop the playback of the video (using File -> Close)
- open the same youtube URL again
-> playback does not resume when the download of the stream has reached the 5 minutes mark, it only resumes after the entire stream has been downloaded locally; for some youtube reviews that takes 30 or more minutes that's a lot of time to wait.

Another issue is with the xysubfilter external subtitle filter (maybe with the internal one as well).
- start playing some media files with subtitles
- open the xysubfilter properties dialog, and set a subtitle delay on the Timing tab
- close the file
- open the file again (or some other file)
-> the subtitle delay has been reset to zero; in MPC-HC the subtitle delay is kept, and I find it preferable this way (especially when viewing the episodes of a series using external subtitle files with different timings).

It's already working good. Don't need improvement.

I actually like the new dark menus a lot, but I wish they were more compact. Too fat. Is that something that could be controlled?
