Capturing of the PAL video, which was corrupted by MESECAM mode

Hello!

I have:
1. A lot of VHS tapes, which were recorded from C-VHS camcorder using PAL/MESECAM VCR with MESECAM mode on (by mistake).
2. This PAL/MESECAM VCR.
3. Analog to digital converter ADVC-55 PAL/SECAM/NTSC

If the converter mode is SECAM, then captured video is black and white, regardless of the mode of the VCR.

If the converter mode is PAL, then:
If the VCR mode is PAL, then captured video is in color, but with a strong and frequent interferences pic;

If the VCR mode is MESECAM, then captured video is in color, but with random wide black and white stripes pic1, pic2, pic3, pic4.

At the same time, the SECAM-video recorded in MESECAM mode and PAL-video recorded in PAL mode is captured in color normally in SECAM/PAL mode of the converter.

So, the problem is in capturing PAL-video corrupted by MESECAM mode.

For capturing I have used Virtual Dub and Ulead Video Studio 8. And I have got same results.
So, I don't think that the problem is in software.

Recently I found out, that the modern TV with the analog input connected to VCR plays corrupted video in color normally (VCR mode is MESECAM).

So, the question is: how to capture these videos in the normal color?
Some other converter?
Maybe there are some software filters to solve the problem?
Why TV somehow deals with these corrupted videos, and multi-system converter - doesn't?
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

I can see some patterns which would enable it to be fixed automatically. Could you capture a sample in MESECAM mode, the same spot twice, so I can take a look?
