I have made a new test with DVDFab 8 (don't kick me ) and Cosmopolis (same rip than others tests). I choose "Movie only" and BD50 output in order to have no reencoding. Work is perfect.
Then I use this work in BD Rebuilder and I obtain this log : Quote:

Thanks for the test of Ice Age 3, but does it have multi angle like European version ? Last edited by Nico8583; 5th December 2012 at 00:50. |

Problems with The Dark Knight
I tried to backup The Dark Knight on a 25gb disc to movie only. Everything seemed to go as planned....BDRB said movie was finished, there were no errors. I used IMG burn and when the movie was finished I noticed it had only used about half of the Disc. When I played it back midway of the fourth chapter the picture froze, but the soundtrack played on all the way to the finish of the movie which is 18chapters long....picture still frozen. I've done over 40 backups never had a problem before. Anyone have any problem like this with a movie? BTW the rip was with ANYDVD and plays perfectly.

The log you posted is not indicative of a multi-angle playlist. There are only two streams listed. If there is more than one angle it could only be in one scene. Last edited by jdobbs; 5th December 2012 at 14:08. |

Thanks.....I did skim over the previous few pages before posting above but I was looking for something with The Dark Knight in the title and missed it. Just checked the rip and indeed it had a glitch at the exact place the burn froze up.

@TomLinde
The X264 version isn't a problem. I apparently didn't update the section of code that checks the version in the error reporting. As for why you are getting an encode failed, I'll have to pick up PROMETHEUS and give it a try. Are you possible overclocked? Have you tried other discs that work, or is it just this one that has issues? |

How do you force BD-RB to no reencode ? For Ice Age 3, here is my BD playlists : As you can see, there are 3 angles for playlist. The only difference is the first file (VID_00349 in this screenshot is for English title intro, VID_00351 is for French and VID_00352 for German). I'm French so I want to select Angle 2. When I select Angle 2 in DVDFab and I want to open result remux, in BD Rebuilder I get an error and in DVDFab I get a crash |

@jdobbs
I don't overclock. It happens now on every encode. I rip bluray with anydvd to an iso image. Mount image and point BD-Rebuilder at mounted iso. The issue occurs when reading actual bluray disc too. Anything I can try on my end ? registry entry ? I believe I saw a file called lastcommand or something like that. Is the actual command causing the problem ? I'm running win 7 64 bit with quad core and 8 gig of memory. |

Any chance of memory errors? They can cause all sorts of weird problems.
I'm running Prometheus now. But I won't know for 8ish hrs. Gotta work soon
