Can changes in hardware influence software recording?

Exactly as its name implies, can the hardware you affect how you video will turn whether you are recording or editing?

Yes

e.g. a bad memory stick can cause corruption.
e.g. slow cpu can drop frames during recording

But what are you really trying to ask?

My old computer was a mess due to some problems with my hard drive and other hardware issues. After I recorded and uploaded some videos, I noticed a hissing sound and other problems that was solved by getting better additions to the hardware and new software. I wanted to ask if that can some hissing sounds and other problems?

Moreover, due to a faulty hard drive, you may have lost your data from your computer.

You should check your hard drive for bad sectors, and it is better to replace it with an SSD and work exclusively with it!

Did you record audio from an analog source as part of creating the videos?
