I can't seem to get this program to start. I installed of the programs that it's requesting but it won't let me continue...
Can you use the latest version of Haali Media Splitter (version 2010-03-27) or does it have to be the older one (2009-01-11)? |

we just talked about this like 5 posts ago. also since your ripbot won't start (saying haali is not installed), wouldn't that be a good indication that you don't have the right version? it also provides a link to the version you need

Hi Atak,
To achieve maximum performance in Windows 7 64-bit I have to also use the Avisynth 2.5.8, Haali Media Splitter and ffdshow 64-bit ok. Where can I get Avisynth 2.5.8 64-bit? It is this version? http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=152800 |

Setting Default audio encoding
Is there any way to let us set the default audio encoding to use from the RipBot264.ini file? Say for example i want to set it to use Aften AC3 448 kbps when possible by default. Right now i always have to remember to click the drop down box for audio and change it (and i forget somethimes )
If this isn't currently possible, is there any chance you could add a way to do this? Thanks for the awesome program though! Last edited by taco-man; 22nd April 2010 at 05:25. |

According to the x264 developers, about 10% speed improvement (personally I haven't tested this). RipBot will use x264 x64 without having everything else in 64-bit. As long as you are running on Win x64, RipBot will enable use of x264 x64.

Ok, had a couple of successful tries, but one bad one... When I resumed from hibernate, RipBot was extremely sluggish, starting at around 0.1 fps, eventually going up to 0.25 fps, instead of the usual 4-6 fps I usually get. I aborted and restarted, and everything was fine. Any idea why that would happen?

I didn't fail for god sake! After hibernation or sleep x264 may not report correct fps or eta but the rest will be ok! TESTED!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the frames. Do not pay attention to above values at all.

This greatly simplifies because I will not worry about incompatibilities with other programs. I think I'll installing W7 64 bit and do some tests over the weekend. Obrigado Balthazar! Last edited by soneca; 22nd April 2010 at 23:08. |

I have a little problem....
I use RipBot a lot, but, now I have a problem... I take an MKV (6gb) and I try to re-encode at 4 gb, to put on DVD5... I made this operation several time... What happen now... when I open the file, I'll wait all operation (demux, gathering info..) and create the job. When I pus START, after 3 second appear the message : THE JOB IS FINISHED... without making any conversion... What I do wrong ? My SO is Windows 7 x64, 12 Gb RAM. Thx in advance... Feature
Nice program! I use it to encode my MTS files from my Sony HDR-CX350V.
What I would like to see is the ability to specify the File/Segment title directly into RipBot instead of using the original filename. Not that I want to promote any programs here, but here is what I use: Sony HDR-CX350V > tsMuxeR > RipBot > mkvToolnix tsMuxeR is only for joining segments from a same movie. mkvToolnix is then used to add a proper File/Segment title. Thanks! |

Balthazar,
Some tests ... With a cartoon episode of 22 min. the difference was small, but with a film of 01h: 53m the difference was much greater. both > 1080 to 720, cq 16 cartoon 32 bits> 16m 05s cartoon 64 bits> 15m 32s movie 32 bits> 03h 02m 12s movie 64 bits> 02h 40m 31s |
