Need suggestions to help clean up this source. (GTO DVDs)

I've been having a lot of trouble trying to clean up this DVD(GTO). My biggest issues seem to be deinterlacing and fixing the scene changes. If you step the the scene changes in the sample you'll see what I'm referring to. At a scene change, there is black at the bottom, some crap across the top, and the frames seem to drop slightly down after a couple frames from the scene changes. This source is really bad... I have done some searching on the forums and tried all the methods I came across(most were a few years old), but wasn't able to get a satisfactory result.

My Source: Download here

Blended fields... you're hosed.

You could try restore24, but the source is so bad I wouldn't hold my breath.

The blends at the beginning (girls on the escalator) are intense... almost no clear frames. This is worth posting in the "another restore function" thread. It looks like the problem that should be corrected with chroma_rep() (in that thread), but it fails (I think it's due to the lack of clear frames).
ankurs, animeivtc can't deal with that in its current state.

On top of that, some good rainbowing and a few other things are needed... but you've got to fix the blending problem before going any further.
