encoding with missing or "monotonically increasing" PTS time stamps?

Assume I re-encode a video with a tool like XMedia Recode for the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video codec (and MP3 audio codec if this matters) and drag the resulting video onto Avidemux.

Then Avidemux shows a warning about "either missing or monotonically increasing presentation time stamps (PTS)".
If I click on "Proceed" then Avidemux repairs them successfully.

However I want to avoid this problem already at creation time.

Which option/parameter value for the video codec MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 do I have to change in order the generate correct presentation time stamps (PTS)?
