Can you please support for HE-AACv2? Seems like internal Audio Decoder does support it, but according to MPC Matroska Source it plays only LC part
Audio
ID : 2
Format : AAC
Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec
Format-Profil : HE-AACv2 / HE-AAC / LC
Codec-ID : A_AAC
Dauer : 3 min 50s
Bitrate : 62,8 kb/s
Kanäle : 2 Kanäle / 1 Kanal / 1 Kanal
Kanal-Positionen : Front: L R / Front: C / Front: C
Samplingrate : 44,1 kHz / 44,1 kHz / 22,05 kHz
Bildwiederholungsrate : 21,533 FPS (1024 SPF)
Video Verzögerung : -161 ms
Stream-Größe : 1,72 MiB (1%)
Default : Ja
Forced : Nein

Tried LAV Splitter Source which displays aac he-aacv2 44100 stereo

LAV Audio Decoder/MPC-BE Audio Decoder - use ffmpeg/libavcodec and decoding is the same. Different in stream's name showing by Source filter. LAV Source use ffmpeg/libavformat - it's parse stream data and determinate AAC profile - that's all. There is no diff in decoding

P.S. Audio format - AAC/22050/1ch - store in matroska header and MPC-BE internal source filter use it. But Audio decoder decode as 44100/2ch:

I do not see a problem. The player gives the maximum quality for this file (44100 Hz stereo).

OK, I thought it would be problem, because there is 22.1 kHz 1 chn in the AUD info, but Aleksoid already pointed out, that in properties it is displayed right and also played right.
see here

So I'm thinking about switching over from MPC-HC because the latest Nightly has proven to be problematic (the new development team may be a little inexperienced, perhaps).

The biggest difference to me is that MPC-BE doesn't utilize LAV Filters, so I'm wondering: is there any functionality I would be missing if I stick with MPC-BE's filters?

Also, I run a stereo setup, and I can't seem to hear a difference whether I have the channel mixer (mix channels to stereo) option checked or not for videos with a multi-channel audio track -- is this normal?

@Megalith
There is no coercion. If you want to use it or not, decide for yourself. Same with LAV Filters.

@Klaus1189, @beter
I corrected and updated.

Works fine. Just disable internal MPC-BE filters and install LAV filters.

MPC-BE video codecs are more powerful
