me_range not changing when set to a higher level

Hey fellas, back again with an issue that is just plain stumping me :P

Basically a few weeks ago for some odd reason my entire megui installation including x264, avisynth, et cetera went haywire (corrupted).. So i removed it all, down to the registry, followed by re installing it all :P

Well now my issue is that when i set my me_range to a higher setting, it says the change has been updated in my x264 script, but when i encode a clip, it says me_range is at 16...

I have no idea how to fix this.

I've tried reinstalling megui and x264, but to no avail..

Hope you fellas can help me out!

What motion search method did you select? For Dia and Hex the maximum range is 16.

HEX is a gradient descent search, increasing the range will have no measurable effect...
