BD Rebuider : A question to fellow Linux users.

I'm able to have BD Rebuilder work fine in a Ubuntu environment, and there's only one minor thing bothering me :
The encoder won't play nice with the rest. Its working fine as far as encoding's concerned, making full use of every available resource on the machine, and I'm getting the desired results in the end, but while it's working it doesn't report anything. No progress bar, no ETA, nada.
Has anybody else come across this and found a solution ?

TIA

are you running this in a VM? Are you able to offload onto hardware?

No, I'm using it with Wine, in a dedicated bottle, using Lutris to fiddle around with parameters.
I've used it in a VM before and it worked just like with Windows, only a tad slower of course, but I decided to try and run it with Wine in order not to have to put up with the hassle of firing up Virtualbox and the dedicated VM each time.
So if anyone has any idea why BDR doesn't do anything with the information it gets from the encoder....
(I tried running it from a terminal, and the information's there all right)
