I already know the results which is why I always remove trailers etc completely and even then it doesn't always make any difference when you get the final output

Trying to make an iPad MP4 HD 1920 x 1080 alternate movie only output. Works fine if I use constant rate factor output, but the file size is bigger than I want (over 11 GB), so I used 2 pass target size at 4096 and get an MP4BOX error.

It depends whether the size would require reencoding. You didn't post your log, so I can't tell... but if you want to force encoding you can add FORCE_ENCODE=1 to your config file (see HIDDENOPTS.TXT).

MP4BOX does the multiplexing into the .MP4 container. Not sure why you'd get an error just because you used 2-pass, that doesn't make sense. An X264 file is an X264 file either way. I'll have to pick up "The Hunger Games" and give it a test.

In backing up this movie ,movie only backup, I'm using any dvd hd latest version. Bd rebuilder latest version all the tools are up to date. Two scenes while playing the copied movie back were out of sequence. This happened on two other movies and I can never seem to find a fix for it. The only way around it seems to be a full backup using a 50 gig disk. I have backed up many movies with your software and with no problem. great great software for bd movies. Also play lists at times seems to be a problem. I used 665 for this movie. I have read allot of issues as far as that goes. Any suggestions.

When you say the 'latest' AnyDVD, which build do you mean?

You likely have to change the selected playlist. There are a few discs out there that create a few or even a large selection of available playlists in an attempt to obfuscate the correct one. Some of the available playlists do nothing but mix up or repeat scenes. Since selecting the correct playlist is essentially just an educated guess (there are no flags that say "I am the movie") -- it's possible that BD-RB might pick the wrong one. Usually a google search will tell you which playlist is correct.

The following information appeared in a post at another forum. It seems to be pertinent to your post here:

I clicked through it for those scenes and you're correct. You can see the window of the train if you pay attention.

And for the part where she's training and then out of nowhere she appears to be in the forest. Well, she isn't actually in the forest, but in the spot where two others where previously making a fire. She's now in that same spot trying to make a fire herself. It's a quick scene so it looks disjointed.

So yeah, 76 is a good playlist.

I used MultiAVCHD to blank all titles except 00971 and 00003 (menu) resulting in a blanked main movie. This was OK because I used TSMuxer to loaded playlist 00971 and created a single m2ts for the main movie. I then renamed the 00000.m2ts and 00000.clpi to 00004 and replaced the files created by MultiAVCHD. I edited the 00000.mpls created by TSMuxer changing the m2ts to 00004 then replaced all of the main movie playlists with the edited one including 00321.mpls which includes the 'Your disc can't play' clip. The menu and all chapter links were working so I then used BDRebuilder to resize the movie for BD25.

If you just want to do movie only, then use TSMuxer on playlist 971 and output as BluRay then use BDRebuilder to resize the created files.

I use MultiAVCHD since the blank title option in BDRebuilder has yet to be finished. With each new release I hope that it will be be finished but not so far.

Why not just select the correct playlist from within BD-RB directly instead of making it complicated?

Because unless I'm mistaking you can only do a movie only with an alternate playlist, somewhere near the bottom open said something about keeping menu etc too. With an alternate playlist, you lose the menu.

If you are doing a full backup, then you don't have to worry about any of it... because the structure will transfer over and work the same. A movie-only uses only one MPLS anyway, so all you have to do is select it.

As for "blanking" or removing the other playlists -- you couldn't "blank" or "remove" any of them anyway -- because they contain pointers to the exact same video that is in the true playback, they are just referenced out of order. I guess if they are unreferenced you could simply dump the MPLS or ignore it -- but in the end you would have the same thing as a full backup anyway.

True, you can do that with BDRebuilder but you will wait 1.5+ hrs to find out if you have the movie you want. I use TSMuxer when creating a movie only BR so I can check to make sure the movie plays as it should without wasting hrs with BDRebuilder. I suppose you can just use the preview feature in BDRebuilder but I just like to do it this way, it only takes a matter of minutes with TSMuxer. When done I use BDRebuilder to resize.

BDRebuilder doesn't currently offer any way to create a movie with extras stripped but retaining the menu. This is why all the extra steps are necessary before using BDRebuilder to resize. I use MultiAVCHD to blank all playlists I don't want such as previews and warnings. When there are multiple playlists for the same clips it doesn't work correctly though.

I'm hoping the blanking feature in BDRebuilder will be functional soon.

It does, it just doesn't let you choose a different playlist when using that option

Perhaps for the adventure which leads to experience? Especially if you ~go~ around the world just to get to that other side of the street..the people you meet, the sites you see, the adventures you have while getting there. Much like some blind friends helping Me to "see"/hear video/audio with more detail than just accepting "What Is". If I just accepted "It looks/sounds good enough.." then where's the beyond mainstream adventure in That?

I thought it pretty cool what Jellyhead1 did.

High Speed option for BD-25 is swEEEEt, but an option for rebuild without compression would be really nice. Something like DVD Rebuilder has. A thought, for what it's worth.

I have bene using BD-rebuilder for a long time now. In the past I have only been creating BD25 discs. Recently I started creating 1080p MKVs. I am mainly using the MKV 1920x1080 640kbs DD5.1, but sometimes use the 1280x720 448kbs DD5.1.

The MKV file is created and appears to play, but the subtitles are on automatically by default. So I run mkvmerge GUI to change the subtitles to default as no. This way I still have the subs if I want them, but are not on by default. However mkvmerge starts popping errors in the log that the structure is corrupt, Resyncing. etc. Eventually it fails.

However, If I take the 264, AC3, SUP and chapter files from the WORKING folder and manually merge them, the resulting MKV is fine and none of the individual files are corrupt.

Is there a parameter I might have wrong?

I actual tried the full backup first with this movie. It completed without any errors, but the disk will not play in any blue ray player I have, or on the computer. I read on other boards that other people were having this issue with Hunger Games. I just made a movie only backup and it worked fine. Entire disk gave me a headache...

After playing around a bit, I have captured the command line sent to mkvmerge and reproduced the problem at the command line, however if I remove the --default-duration 0:23.976fps parameter from the command line, the resulting file does not appear to be corrupt. I also tried changing the default duration to 0:24000/1001p and that appears to work OK as well. Has anyone else experienced this problem.
