one more thing...
Wick 3 (UHD version):
- PGS 12a0 reading only to half of the movie (~1h 6min) then creating only some garbage (at least when I look at it in "bdsup2sub++102a.exe", don't know whether that is the best tool for that nowadays);
- PGS 12a1 and 12a2 are empty (0 bytes)

eac3to extracts them correctly and 12a1 and 12a2 are not empty

for clarification.. (can of course depend on the edition; mine is an European):

PGS files after demux with eac3to (my eac3to-script is saving under custom-file-names):

after demux with DGDemux:

stream 12a0 by eac3to:

stream 12a0 by DGDemux (all starting times are Zero):

warnings in that stream:

last accessible frame (if I move 1 frame further BDSub2Sup crashes):

the demuxing took place under the same conditions (drive, etc...)

Can you give me a link to purchase that disk? A member at my forum tested the North American version and everything was fine.

It's just a quirk of my implementation. When the embedded AC3 is seen first, the THD file is opened with a generic name and then is re-named with full info after demuxing completes.

"should be" ?!? Did you torrent this or something? You're not sure where you got your disk?

Amazon won't deliver that to me in the USA.

"No seller is currently shipping this item to the United States."

Given that the North American version works fine, I'm going to assume PEBKAC. There are no other trouble reports about subtitle demuxing.

Please do not post trouble reports for unobtainable disks.

...ahmm... for a brief moment I had the impression you are accusing me of piracy... never mind...
I got this disk locally; if I don't have to, I don't buy at Amazon; the cover Amazon is showing, is not completely identical to what I have but the streams seem to be the same: one stereo ac3 (deu); two thd (deu and eng)...

in any case, update, if you are interested:
I repeated the process...

I reverted to the "release version 1.0.0.23" and demuxed through GUI. Everything works as expected/designed:

created files:

then I rebooted the PC (just in case) and replaced the exe by the "test version" again. It goes to 99% and hangs there for ever. (Maybe I missed that the other day because the PC went to stand-by and I simply closed the GUI assuming it should be done; it was late...):

then I did the same thing with my batch-script using CLI with the test version. The CLI does not hang but obviously crashes at 99%. I placed a "pause" after the demux line which was reached, meaning the demuxing was completed one way or the other but the demux does not reach 100%...:

Never.

Please re-download build 24. The problem with -nsthd is fixed. Thank you for your trouble report.

now I had a chance to look into the demuxed PGS-files;
unfortunately BDsup2sub still shows "Zero"-time-stamps for the subtitles (like shown in this post https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.p...26#post1910326)
the tool can be downloaded here
https://github.com/amichaeltm/BDSup2...sPlus/releases

A comparison with the eac3to stream (which has time-stamps) shows that they are of the same size but in a hex editor one can see several differences. I have added both files of the stream 12a1 which has just two subtitle frames.
Thanks

Can you please use an external host so that we do not have to wait for the attachment to get approved?

Everything I tested here has fine timestamps. So I really need access to your stream. Unfortunately it is a single M2TS that is likely huge. And you say it only has two subtitles so if we chop the first 100MB likely that won't contain a sub. Not sure where to go from here. I will try to get testing on the North American version (a member at my forum has it). And I will check the code to see if anything could cause it to write zeros.

Maybe 12a0 has more subs and a chop of the first 100MB of the first M2TS would be good enough for me. Can you check that please? If needed I can give you my FTP.

Code looks fine.

If needed I can make a debug build for you with instrumentation.

yes, 12a0 is a close caption PGS, so, it shows more subs then others... but the first ~400MB are logos and studios etc. in the 5th segment there is one subtitle in 6th also one...
it seams that 1GB might be needed, except you think that also something cut out of the middle could also work
what would be a good tool to cut, I did it with an hexeditor...?

I don't know what you mean by 5th segment.

I will send you my ftp details. Please upload a GB from the front of the M2TS. You can cut with DGSplit. Thank you.

Please make sure the sample fails the same way before uploading.

I'm not sure how to check for the error; your tool is asking for a full disk structure...?
I'm uploading; im MPC-BE the chunk was playable and showed a few subs...
the upload is very slow
