Extracting only forced subtitles

Excuse my ignorance if this is readily available already, but is there a tool or application that can extract (without compression or conversion) only the forced images in a PGS subtitle stream?

Some Blu-rays provide the forced subtitles as a separate stream, but some provide them as part of the main subtitle stream with forced flags. It would be nice to be able to extract only the forced ones to build a "forced only" stream.

I recently added bluray PGS demuxing to DGDecNV. It would be easy to filter only the forced subtitles. I can add it to the next slipstream. Be warned, it would require an nVidia graphics card.

Maybe others know of existing applications.

Load sup file in BDSup2Sub,

In Output Format-> SUP(BD)

Then in File->Save/Export .. check 'Export Only Forced' -> Save

@FishPencil

For the moment there is no tool what can do this. But I have asked @amichaelt on Github.
Some points of this task are finish.

@videoh
That sounds great.

@sekininsha
We need a "one-task" solution. 3 steps for the moment required to get forced sups of a Blu-ray (without a separate forced sup-stream).
1. extract sup from Blu-ray
2. Load with BDSup2Sub
3. Save forced captions to new sup file

One step forced subs only is now available in DGDecNV 2053.0.0.149. Working for PGS in bluray or MKV.

MakeMKV can also filter only forced subs into an individual stream if you use it for ripping discs to MKV.

Makemkv is not able to extract anything!
First you have to make a mkv and then extract. This is cumbersome.

Great, and is there a possibility to set new forced captions before I extract the "forced only" sup?

You mean changed forced to nonforced or vice versa on an individual basis?

I'm afraid that is way beyond the scope of DGDecNV.

OK, no problem. I hope amichaelt can make it possible in BDSup2Sub.

The tool in my signature extracts forced events and/or merges forced events. It will even tell you if it finds events it believes should be forced but aren't.

Umm, you do not have a signature.
