Is "Mary Queen of Scots" a Dolby Vision source? The fact that BD-RB reverted to extracting the video independently means it is already trying to bypass an error by extracting video separately from audio and subtitles. I could make it go one step further and extract the base video first and then the Dolby Vision track. I'd done that in the past with other types of secondary video, but I thought it wasn't necessary for the Dolby Vision track (it almost doubles the extraction time). Could you post the contents of the "MUX_00001.meta" file at the point at which the demux failed? Last edited by jdobbs; 12th August 2019 at 12:07. |

@Michi
Try downloading this v0.60.22 BDRB.exe executable, and replacing the one that was provided with v0.60.21. Please report if it fixes the issue you had with "Mary Queen of Scots". If so, I'll put together another zip file and update the download links. Looking at the code I realized that one of the changes I made probably wasn't one of the smartest things I've done recently. I've updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD Rebuider (v0.60.22). Changes for this release:
Code:
- Corrected an error introduced in v0.60.21 that could cause failure during video extraction on Dolby Vision or other sources that might have secondary video tracks. - Updated the included version of X264 to the latest stable release (r2984). - Updated the included versions of X265 to v3.1.2 10 bit version. - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. |

Error on Inspect version 0.60.22
Quote:
I copied the x264.exe + x264-64.exe, x264L.exe + x264L-64.exe and x265.exe + x265-64.exe from version 0.60.19 into the current version and "Inspect" shows at "x264" and "x265" again "ok" Quote:

But, honestly, at the bitrates used for BD-25 and BD-50, you're unlikely to notice much difference. I've been pretty impressed with the quality on the ones I've done using Good/ABR. By the way -- on my system even Good/ABR takes 13-15h to encode, so I'm envious of your 3-4h. Last edited by jdobbs; 13th August 2019 at 23:48. |

BD Rebuilder v0.60.23
I've updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD-RB (v0.60.23). Changes for this version:
Code:
- Corrected a problem in which Dolby Vision sources that are reencoded would oversize during muxing as a result of superfluous information being kept in the M2TS file. - Fixed the erroneous "Wrong Version" report in INSPECT for the new versions of X264 and X265. - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes. My thanks again to cartman0208 for hosting these downloads. Last edited by jdobbs; 14th August 2019 at 00:44. |
