Did you try to start the whole backup again?
Log says you started with an older version and resumed with a current one.
Just a thought...

No, the encoding time is over 3 hours.

But all failures are after the encoding and not before.

Unfortunately that is a TSMUXER error. In the past all reports of that buffer overflow have been the result of a corrupt source. That may or may not be the case when it is handling UHD, I'll have to wait and see. But, the best I can do in this situation is try to find a way around it.

Is "Mary Queen of Scots" a Dolby Vision source? The fact that BD-RB reverted to extracting the video independently means it is already trying to bypass an error by extracting video separately from audio and subtitles. I could make it go one step further and extract the base video first and then the Dolby Vision track. I'd done that in the past with other types of secondary video, but I thought it wasn't necessary for the Dolby Vision track (it almost doubles the extraction time).

Could you post the contents of the "MUX_00001.meta" file at the point at which the demux failed?

@Michi

Try downloading this v0.60.22 BDRB.exe executable, and replacing the one that was provided with v0.60.21. Please report if it fixes the issue you had with "Mary Queen of Scots". If so, I'll put together another zip file and update the download links.

Looking at the code I realized that one of the changes I made probably wasn't one of the smartest things I've done recently.

damn @jdobbs, first no updates in nearly a year (good reason for that though), now over half a dozen in a matter of weeks. You're on a roll!

I'm getting that same error on one of the discs I'm currrently testing. It's coming from TSMUXER -- and I haven't been able to find a workaround yet.

I just wanted to get the UHD working... and I figured as long as I had my head in the code I might as well fix everything I can.

BD Rebuilder v0.60.22

I've updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD Rebuider (v0.60.22). Changes for this release:
Code:
- Corrected an error introduced in v0.60.21
that could cause failure during video
extraction on Dolby Vision or other sources
that might have secondary video tracks.
- Updated the included version of X264 to the
  latest stable release (r2984).
- Updated the included versions of X265 to
  v3.1.2 10 bit version.
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

@jdobbs Any chance you forgot to update (Settings)? Just for giggles i ran inspect after updating to .22. Havent changed anything, yet it's reporting x264 & x265 as wrong version

I forgot to update the checksum in INSPECT. That's what happens when you go a while without doing updates. I'll correct it in the next release.

Quality: Good (Fastest, BD-25+), ABR

Will this speed quality degrade the image? 3-4h on this quality, time depends on the equipment of course , this will be good image quality UHD ?
On default i got 1day+

Error on Inspect version 0.60.22
Quote:
Checking System Settings
- BD-Rebuilder v0.60.22
- Windows Version: 6.2 [9200]
- Working Path Free Space: 182,40GB
- AVISYNTH Version: 2.6.0.6, Ok
- LAVFILTERS: Ok
- X264: Wrong version found
- X265: Wrong version found

- AFTEN: Ok
- FAAC: Ok
- MP4BOX: Ok
- WAVI: Ok
- TSMUXER: Ok
- FRIMEncode: Ok
- FRIMDecode: Ok
Apparently, the new x264 and x265 version is integrated but is recognized as the "wrong version".

I copied the x264.exe + x264-64.exe, x264L.exe + x264L-64.exe and x265.exe + x265-64.exe from version 0.60.19 into the current version
and "Inspect" shows at "x264" and "x265" again "ok"

I literally posted that 3 posts above yours. Reading helps The "Wrong version" is normal. jdobbs forgot to update the "inspect" hashes it relies on to report ok or wrong version. It'll get fixed in the next update

That's a recommendation for testing, simply to save time. If you're concerned about quality, stay with the defaults.

But, honestly, at the bitrates used for BD-25 and BD-50, you're unlikely to notice much difference. I've been pretty impressed with the quality on the ones I've done using Good/ABR.

By the way -- on my system even Good/ABR takes 13-15h to encode, so I'm envious of your 3-4h.

BD Rebuilder v0.60.23

I've updated the first post of this thread with a link to the latest release of BD-RB (v0.60.23). Changes for this version:
Code:
- Corrected a problem in which Dolby Vision
sources that are reencoded would oversize
during muxing as a result of superfluous
information being kept in the M2TS file.
- Fixed the erroneous "Wrong Version" report
in INSPECT for the new versions of X264 and
  X265.
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.
Not a lot of changes -- but I thought the first one deserved posting as soon as possible, as no one wants to spend a lot of time encoding a disc, just to find it oversized and may not fit on your target disc. BTW, if you still have a Dolby Vision job on your hard drive that oversized, just rebuilding with this new version may get it to within your target.

My thanks again to cartman0208 for hosting these downloads.

You may want to try rerunning that job with the new version. With the disc upon which I got that error, the issue went away with the BD-RB update to X265.
