If you did "re install" 1.22.0, then ran auto update's, you should have got a LOT, and ended up with the very latest build, 1.22.2. After a re start. You do realize that it only "look's" for & installs update's every time the program is started ?? Atak needs to post a later build on the 1st page.... |

1. I am running 1.22.0 (with auto update disabled) as downloaded and everything works. 2. I enable auto update, and restart RipBoot. 3. At start auto update is done, and it shows 1.22.2, I restart 1.22.2 4. I add a new job. Adding works without error. 5. I start encode of job and get error message. Error is consequence of missing Quote:

And just a heads up, attaching anything on this forum rarely gets cleared to open, so you either need to upload it a file sharing site, and paste the url, then it can be view, and or downloaded. Or, paste a screenshot directly "on here".... |

I remember that some user even used some extremely stripped down version of windows for DE mode. WinPE (without taskbar!) or something like that. I don't remember now. It was couple years ago...

Normalize Bug?
I think I found a bug with the Normalize function if Temp drive is something other then C:
The jobXX_EncodeAudio1.cmd command has the cd line to change in the beginning to change to the tools\ffmpeg\bin directory. Since my Temp is D:, this did not work. Adding C: to the beginning of the script allowed the command to work correctly. Then running jobXX_MuxFiles.cmd allowed the job to complete. BTW, I like the use of the *nix shell commands. So very useful. |

DE Client Issues
I have a PC that is using a VPN, which creates two networks.
If I have a Encoding Server start on bootup, it starts and shows my local ip address (192.xxx..), but after that any new servers uses the VPN network (10.xxx..). I can see the computer from the my main machine via both a ping and by browsing to a fileshare. I can ping the 192.xxx.. address. Is there anything I can do to get this working, or am I out of luck if I need this Encoding Server to be on a VPN? |

You could try to delay encoding server start. You can do that in Task Scheduler.

I've found, as long as the machine running the encoding server can reach the pc hosting, you shouldn't have a problem. go to file explorer, and type in from the computer that is not working \\computername to make sure you can see the ripbot share that it creates. could be a username permissions thing too, don't forget that part. |

Hiho. I am totally amazed by this Program, especially from the Distributed Encoding Feature. Thanks a lot.
I have some questions for 2 Issues i was unable to solve or find a solution. 1.) I there a way to tell Ripbot to index all files which are included in a Source MKV File? Example. When adding a MKV File in Ripbot with 2 HD Audio Tracks (True-HD or DTS-Master) only the first audio track is indexed. When i am selecting the second audio Track i have to wait until Ripbot has finished to index it before i can change any other value. While doing Batch Encoding this i really annoying. It would be better if Ripbot is doing it directly when it creates the Jobs. Is there a way to enable this? 2.) I was unable to do a x264 Encode with OpenCL Acceleration when using Intel Integrated Graphics. I have 2 Workstation, one with a i7-3770k and one with a i7-4790. On both Ripbot is doing an encoding only if Acceleration is disabled. I tried several different drivers, but none was working. I always get an unknown OpenCl Error. Any Ideas, I also tried to install the Intel OpenCl SDK but it won't work. If this would work, i could use DE Mode on 3 Machines, at the moment i am only using 2 after i installed a GTX 260 i one of my Workstations and that thing is loud :-) Thanks a lot. Greets Seb |

1) good idea. I will see what I can do.
2) Unfortunately I have Intel CPU without iGPU so I won't be able to help you in this case. Post whole error message so maybe other users here will be able to help you with this issue.

Thanks for your answer.

Connection Closed Gracefully. Maybe someone has an Idea. Another Question. In DE Mode, would it be possible that every Machine has a different Setting for the OpenCL Acceleration and the Encoding Servers are using the Setting of the Machine they are runnig on? With the actual Ripbot Version the Settings of the Host Machine will be used for every involved Server and overrides the Setting of the local machines running the Encoding Servers. If this would work it would be a Solution for the Intel Graphic Problem. Last edited by Privateer5000; 6th April 2018 at 15:33. |
