It's somewhat moot now, since the problem raised its ugly head again last night, but this time the source was not a Blu-ray. It was an MPEG-2 .ts 1080i/29.97fps HDTV transmission which BD-RB (0.44.15) attempted to encode into a de-interlaced 1080p/29.97fps MKV. Same error, "Building ALTERNATE OUTPUT Structure - ERROR in attempt to mux (MKVMERGE)". What's more, I was running the encode on another PC. |

bdrebuilder not recognize either the structure, and the extras are not.

Though my english is very poor you understood what I meant - I am glad about that :-) ... I already tried out the MULTIPROCESS option at different settings (from "1" to "8") but BDRB responded only with endless efforts to "split" any files without the least progress. In fact the program stopped. Did I make something wrong? Greetings from my hometown Hamburg/Northern Germany Glenn Garthmann |

the blu ray Spanish of "the host", upon opening it happens a strange case. It appears only the film not the extras but then the weight of the extras if you have them in mind. I.e. the film weighs 24 gigabytes and extra 29, my intention was to remove the extras to not encode but not me to option to delete the extras since they do not appear.
If you need any single data you must tell me what |

If you only want the movie -- why not select "Movie-Only" mode instead of trying to remove the extras. |

Hello, is that happens only with the Spanish Edition is of linking national editor, not Universal as the USA.
I do not usually select only movie because I think removes the menu and I like to leave the menu and only remove the extras. As I said what happens is that you enter them do not appear on the toolbar content, only the film and the logos that appear at the beginning. But then, if you have them in weight, i.e., says 29 gigabytes of the 22 that indicates only the film. Thank you. |

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. DOWNRESIZE allows you to select an alternate AVISYNTH filter for resizing to a smaller resolution (like 1080p to 720p). The default is BicubicResize(). It doesn't affect target sizes.

I was trying to import a 1920 x 1080, h264, 29.97 fps .ts file HD TV capture from my Hauppauge HD PVR to convert to DVD 9.
There appears to be a problem loading a .ts file by way of the "File, Import, Video Files" method. BD-RB allows the import, but as soon as you click "Backup", the error message "You must specify both SOURCE and WORKING directories" pops up. So even though the Source .ts file is imported correctly, it is not kept in the Source Path, so BD-RB throws out this error. The Working path is set. |

An ISO is only created if you have that option enabled (under SETTINGS/OUTPUT OPTIONS). |

Last time I made a "Quick-Play Backup" I had several single files of the main movie.
Anyway I have seen that BD Rebduiler can also make MKVs. What would be the correct settings for it: MKV Container, NO_RESIZE, AutoGOP, Auto-AAC or MKV Container, Intact Video, AutoGOP, Auto-AAC And what size (MB) do I have to put in for "Two pass target size" - for DVD-5 - for DVD-9 Auto-AAC means that also DTS is converted to AC3? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks for your efforts! |
