Posting in General Discussion

Please, do not use this forum as a "let's post it here, then more people will read it" forum! It is for, to quote Doom9: "Everything that does not match one of the other categories." Everything that does fit in one of the other categories will be moved ...

Discussions about video/audio encoding and transcoding, DVD's and other movie related issues are preferred. Even more general PC related discussions are acceptable (assuming that it doesn't fit into one of the other categories). But threads which are completely off-topic will be deleted.

Before posting, take a look at the forum rules (above the search option). The most important ones are rules 4 and 6, which are often broken.

This forum is not about PS2/Xbox backup. Relevant forums about this are:
- if you know other good forums, please post them here

Thanks for your understanding,

Wilbert

Yeah, definitely http://club.cdfreaks.com/ for copying games, something I know little to nothing about, and probably never will, since I prefer games from 20 years ago (I have an arcade machine from 1984 along with about a dozen consoles from the 80's/early 90's, not to mention MAME on this PC). For anything burn-related though, that is the place to go. They have different sections for different brands of burners, guys who release firmware patches, lots of information on the latest and greatest optical storage media, etc.

If you can't find what you need here, then AvForums is pretty good for home theatre topics, UK-centric, but mostly applies to anywhere.

Any of these: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=129748

At least try to use search or browse a little first, please? It's not a good idea to run afoul of the rules on your third post.

Welcome to the great forum

Hi everyone I want to meet new friends online through this travel site. I mean, it is nice to know someone from different countries all through this travel forum. This is one great way to learn the cultures of other peoples in the world.

That's all very well and good, but this isn't a travel site. It's a site for video encoding enthusiasts. Please confine your posts to the subjects discussed in this forum.

@Leenaa, I dont think that there is any one forum that specializes in your requirement.

In W10 Explorer, right click on ISO and mount the ISO.
Open disk via VLC or MPC-HC, or PotPlayer, it plays the disk.
(there seems to be not much else to know).
[EDIT: Of course, ISO must not be encrypted]

EDIT: I believe that Handbrake can rip full DVD to MKV file, together with menus and such, just play the MKV in eg VLC or MPC-HC or PotPlayer.
[I've never used Handbrake to do that]

EDIT: Handbrake:- https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=106032
Handbrake home site:- https://handbrake.fr/

EDIT: I suppose this is closest to your requirement, for ripping disk.

Yeah... We should really bring back the hard registration questions once and for all, I guess...
It used to be way better before...

In the meantime I also reported Lena (or should I say, random_bot_8193) and hopefully it will be banned (and the posts deleted) before it could do any harm.

They're currently all pretty generic AI generated replies to some topics, but you know how those things go, first the replies, then the edit to include spam links trying to steal page rank and hopefully a few clicks...
If those bot didn't exist the world would be a better place, but then again the same is true for viruses in the digital world and I guess thieves in the real one...
