If the source is interlaced how do I add deinterlacing to the video encode?

I noticed that file paths are using forward-slashes ("/") instead of ("\"). While this works okay for local files, it fails for networking paths. Can you change it so directories are separated by backward-slashes ("\") instead of forward-slashes?

Paddy97,
For converting interlace-progressive need to run encoding, repacking will not work.

millercentral,
Network paths are supported, see the picture.

The source I was trying with is MPEG2 so it will be recoded. Use the standards, the output is still interlaced.

Paddy97,
The output is interlace? Do you have a sample for testing?

Ok, I see that. But if you look at the output it still looks interlaced. How do I remove that effect from the output?

There where some intersting parts in this thread since the source id DVB-T

hello! I'm from Brazil, I can not speak English, so I'm using a translator, so please have patience with me

I loved this topic, and this program, but I'm having the following problem:
"FFmpeg terminated with error: 1"
if I put several files to be converted in a row, several of them give an error in converting the audio, leaving the final file without sound, but if I put one at a time, there occurs less frequently, in this case was vorbis, but I think also happened to acc,, will have to correct this error?

thank you for your attention

Did that but on this source its of no effect.

If I select deinterlace in ripbot it works great btw and the size of the file is reduced in half due to the corrected picture.

Faleny,
Do you have a sample file, which is encoded with an error?

Paddy97,
For high-quality deinterlacing should be used AviSynch filters, my program does not support it.

You need to change the command for setting the level. There shouldnt be a decimal point in it. Using "...:level=4.1:..." sets it to High@L0.4 use "...:level=41:..."

But otherwise cheers for an awesome program

Question....I see the default AAC encoder is now Quicktime (might have been in past..not sure). Some time back...peeps advised that the Nero AAC encoder did a better job. Is Nero still the preferred?...or has Apple gotten better?

The command in question is to MP4Box when it muxes extracted videos without conversion. It keeps exporting Level 0.4 instead of Level 4.1
Code:
Tools\MP4Box\MP4Box.exe -new -delay 1=1 -add "Temp\video.264":fps=25.000:lang=eng:level=4.1:name="" -add "D:/mkvtomp4/MkvToMp4_0.220/Temp/test.AC3"#1:fps=25.000:lang=eng:name="" -add "D:/mkvtomp4/MkvToMp4_0.220/Temp/test_internal_sub_2_change.ttxt":lang=eng:name="" -itags tool="MkvToMp4 [www.mkvtomp4.ru] version 0.220" "D:/mkvtomp4\test.m4v"
Highlighted bit should be 41 not 4.1
