5.1 side LR vs Rear LR?

The Opus encoder just complained that my source was using Side LR and it changed it to Rear LR. QAAC kept it the same. Is this Bluray's DTS-MA weird for using Side LR? Is there any difference on playback?

In a 5.1 source both channels config (FL,FR,FC,LF,BL,BR and FL,FR,FC,LF,SL,SR) are equivalents without difference on playback.
