Looking for SVP alternative without Manager,..
Since the last version of SVP:
Quote:
So I was wondering: Is there a free (gpu based/suported) alternative for SVP available I don't know of or should one either: a. stick to the old dlls of svp b. buy the SVP Manager and keep it running. (personally I would have no problem buying a 20$ license, but I don't want to have to think about having to start SVP Manager running whenever I use svp in Avisynth or Vapoursynth on my Windows system) Cu Selur |

You could place svp manager in auto start (does it not have a autorun option?)
FramerateConverter is free and has good quality https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=174793

@ChaosKing: No clue whether it does have an autorun option, having it permanently running is even less an option for me than starting it manually.
Problem with FrameConverter is that is is rather slow compared to SVP since it can't use the GPU. |

Too bad SVP devs made such change (one month trial). License cost is above I can afford for that software (Ukrainians are mostly poor people), so I decided to don't use SVP at all. Plain mpv is fine too. |

Hi,
SVP 4 works completely without manager running if using the dll files, but in the latest version there is a red outline around the frame of the video as mentioned in your post. I didn't find it that distracting yet. Last edited by Milardo; 6th May 2020 at 19:49. |

I remember seeing something on github, which I believe was shared here.
Someone took the ( old ) libraries for SVP ( before the red box change ) and allowed you to make your own settings without the GUI. Something here last updated in 2018: https://github.com/Bare7a/SVP-Flow-Script-Generator And this updated in 2019: https://github.com/Onemeshnik/supersvp ( mostly Russian documentation ) Didn't really look at them, but starred them to keep track. You may find something useful in there. Don't forget to check archives for older libraries of svpflow/etc for non-red-box. Or however it was Russianed.

The last available version that works with out installing the manager is v4.2.0.142 (2017-10-19). They added this requirement in v4.3.0.165 (2019-06-08). Does anyone have binaries from previous versions? I don't think they were ever formally released either, unless you downloaded the entire package. Download of v4.2.0.142 is available here: http://avisynth.nl/index.php/SVPflow#Archived_Downloads ******* Edit: Quote:

Hmm, even going in the Wayback Machine checking around June/July for changes to the site, they never had a public link for version 4.3.0.161.
They went from 4.2.x to the red box version. I never thought to keep backing up my libraries as updates came out. I'm pretty sure there are some users on the SVP forums that do archive as updates come out. But, they're probably pretty loyal to the developers so probably won't be so eager to drop a link on a whim without feeling like they're going to betray their developers without asking them for permission first. You can try ask on the forums. Maybe the devs will give a link. Maybe a user will PM you. I tried to google search using quotes but ended up nowhere. A lot of repositories on Github seem to only link to the official download links for SVP (which would be either ancient versions or red box versions).

I have been using the last good versions and writing my own scripts by hand for a while now. Both performance and quality are far better now than i have ever been able to get through the official GUIs.
The last good versions i had backed up were: [Download Link] svpflow1.dll [v4.3.0.156] & svpflow2.dll [v4.3.0.160] - 32bit AviSynth; svpflow1.dll [v4.3.0.156] & svpflow2.dll [v4.3.0.161] - 64bit AviSynth; svpflow1_vs.dll [v4.3.0.156] & svpflow2_vs.dll [v4.3.0.161] - 64bit VapourSynth; I'm not sure if 32bit build 161 was ever even released as i haven't been able to find a single direct reference to it anywhere on the internet, but i can say for sure it wasn't released at the same time as the rest. I have been testing and building up carefully quality and performance optimized custom script templates for older computers for a while now. Separated them into Anime, Mixed & Live Content types & Light, Medium & Heavy tiers. I'm not yet done, but i could put those up on github along with my notes and link them here if there's interest; maybe get some feedback as well... Last edited by Nuihc88; 30th May 2020 at 19:03. Nuihc88 linked download above are same dll's as the ones I linked, EXCEPT that x64 dll is svpflow2.dll v4.3.0.161 (The one I linked was svpflow2.dll v4.3.0.160).
EDIT: Not sure, I think I started this post whilst Nuihc88 was adding version info to above post.

Thanks for the updates!
I'm not sure about 32bit, I use 64 only. But, since the 161 has fixes for NVidia's Optical Flow, would that have any impact on it? I remember some CL-friendly plugins here only allowed x64 for full functionality, whereas the x86 plugins aren't compatible. Question, what are the libvapoursynth_plugin.dll.22 and libvapoursynth_plugin.dll.30 files in the VapourSynth folder? Quote:
