Than why dont you simply use the x86 Binary for 32bit which is in the folder you unpack?
Than in Staxrip go to Tools->Applications->Demuxing&Muxing->DGIndexNV and enter the location where the DGIndexNV.exe on your System resides.

But remeber you have to register DGIndexNV for 15$ on neuron Homepage, else it wont work.
Also you need the right Graphic card, your onBoard IGP will not work.

Btw. shouldn't DVD43 just like AnyDVD support on-the-fly decrypting of DVD's?
Its only illegal if he ships dvd43 or libdvdcss. If he ships it with dvd enabled and then allows the user to decide whether to use there preferred ripping program then thats okay.

Yesterday i suddenly had got some problems with StaxRip. I try do encode MPEG-TS/H.264 on Win7x64 into AVI/XviD and I've ffdshow (used libvacodec) and haali media splitter. But, after trying to drag&drop .ts file on the window of SR, I reveive this serious error:

(Translation: StaxRip has stopped working)

2 days ago everything was perfect, but I installed yesterday FormatFactory (just for tests) and I don't know - maybe this is a problem. But I uinstalled this software.

I noticed also that after uinstalling Haali, StaxRip doesn't give me an error, but during cutting the frames aren't accurate, e.g. I mark frame 150 at the beginning and frame 1000 at the end, and this is exactly what i need to cut, but seeking with one frame is kinda delayed and I need to use option " reload " in each frame, to mark cutting points properly...

I usually save a couple of StaxRip-Jobs to convert DVB-S-recordings in the background. But a StaxRip-windows is popping up after each job and is stealing the window-focus. And there is no difference if I have chosen "minimize window" or not.

This behaviour is particularly annoying, because my StaxRip-encoding-PC is my livingroom-mediacenter-PC as well. And if I watch a movie (I use XBMC and VLC-Player for this) and StaxRip is switching to the next job, the fullscreen-video I watch will be minimized to the background.

By the way, I'm running a Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit) machine. And the tipp I already found in the forum to activate "Don't steal focus" with TweakUI doesn't work with Windows 7.

Hope anyone has an idea how to resolve that problem.

Thanks in advance,
Salazar

I have the same thing and it is very annoying I hope this can be fixed in the next Staxrip build.

Is Staxrip development/support dead?
Been waiting for over 4 months for an updated release and so far nothing, really like Staxrip due to the flexibility and stability but any suggestion on a similar application would be appreciated.

Yep, it is dead, but some people are desperately hanging on to a straw, and will never learn reality.

You better switch to something else, before you have a long gray beard, and just busy still waiting for a sign of life when your own candle extinguishes.

ConvertToYV12(matrix="PC.709")

Hello,

Does some body know how to force StaxRip tu use this little line:
ConvertToYV12(matrix="PC.709")
When I try StaxRip say to me to use ConvertToYV12().

Some body give me this tips to have good colours when I encode Canon HV20 rushes from Sony Vegas via DebugMode Frame Server.

Thank you a lot.

Hello,

I finally find the solution. I just put one line in the "Filter window on the left of Staxrip :

DirectShowSource("%source_file%", audio=false, convertfps=true, fps=%source_framerate_mediainfo%)
Crop(0,0, -Width % 8,-Height % 8)ConvertToYV12(matrix="PC.709")

Staxrip is really the best!!!!

I've just started fiddling around with Staxrip trying to do my first anamorphic xvid encode of a TV show I ripped from my original DVD. After cropping with mod16 in mind (no resizing) I simply set a certain bitrate around 1100 kb/s. But no matter what bitrate I choose, I never achieve 0.187 Bits/(Pixel*Frame) quality as used in scene rips. Also, despite turning off the packed bitstream setting as demonstrated here in all profiles, it is still set by Staxrip. Any suggestions? Thx.

@chetwood: lower the resolution or boost the bit-rate and you will archive any Bits/(Pixel*Frame) ratio you judge as quality,....

I recently enabled UAC in Windows 7 x64 to install the Shark007 codecs, and discovered that StaxRip will not run when installed under Program Files without running as Administrator. That would be fine if I only used the GUI, but I run StaxRip in CLI mode from batch files, where I cannot answer the UAC prompt while away from the computer. Is there any way I can set permission on the StaxRip folder to disble the UAC prompt, or is my only solution to move it out of Program Files and change all of my batch files which run StaxRip and many of the applications installed with it? Thanks!

Hi,

I get the following message:

Unsupported Colorspace

x264 requires YV12 input. Right.click the filters, select, "Add" and coose "Misc/Convert to YV12"

I did that, but that menu entry is not present, all I can select there is "assume 25fps" or "assume 23.96 fps". So how do I get that filter in Staxrip?
