ffms2 added AviSynth+ high bitdepth support in version 2.23.1 (Oct 2016).

Well the ffms2 script works fine when I play it in mpc but fails to load in MeGui. *sigh*
Code:
FFVideoSource("file.ts", fpsnum=60000, fpsden=1001, threads=8, colorspace = "YUV420P10")
Quote:
Error parsing media file video.avs: ConvertToRGB24: conversion is allowed only from 8 bit colorspace

That's a MeGUI problem, not ffms2.

Yeah I figured as much, seems it doesn't support 16-bit either. I'll just resort to converting everything to stacked format at the end of scripts.

Do you have by any chance enabled the "start new jobs in queue immediately" option?

Sadly true, the AVS wrapper cannot handle > 8 bit.

Did you read the red warning at the top? Those profiles are deprecated.

No i did not read the warning on top. I have now, the last post edit was in 2012. I still used Megui last year (2017) with those profiles. With version 2828 if i start from fresh those profiles don't work, they give the error as shown in my previous post. If i go back to the previous version of megui 2808 and import the profiles then they work. Updating from 2808 to 2828 with the profiles imported then they work with 2828

Please extract this file into your MeGUI directory on the server (replace the existing file) and report back.

EDIT: update to MeGUI 2829

@Zathor

I am currently having problems processing eac3 files with integrated audio encoder. It stays on indexing without doing absolutely nothing.

I have replaced it with command line transcoding, such as
Code:
ffmpeg.exe -i in.eac3 -acodec ac3 -ab 640k -af dynaudnorm out.ac3
and it is ok for 5.1 to 5.1 transcoding. I have absolutely no idea of what channel to mix for a 7.1 to 5.1 transcoding, with proper levels.

Can you please tell me which is the ffmpeg profile used from MeGUI when transcoding with ffmpeg from 7.1 to 5.1 or, much better, fix eac3 problem?

If you tell me how to "cut" eac3, otherwise I need to upload the whole track. If you have a ftp or private cloud much better because of size.

Anyway, in the mean time, can you please tell me the mixing levels you apply in MeGUI when transcoding to inferior number of channels?

ffmpeg don't downmix eac3 7.1 because can't decode it to 7.1 channels.

ffmpeg only decode 5.1 channels from eac3 7.1, the extra surround channels (in added substreams) are ignored.

Check the log.
You can see the avs scripts with the downmix levels.
