subtitles w/ alternate mp4
I ran Return Of The Jedi w/ BD-RB 0.50.14, ALTERNATE output, mp4 auto-gop auto-aac 1920x1080, I included all the english subtitles, encoder set to High Quality, yet mediainfo states no subtitles are in the file & vlc shows no subtitles are available.
I also did Angel Heart & Midnight Express with the first English subtitle, also mediainfo & vlc show no subtitle being there. Last edited by meadrocks; 25th March 2016 at 01:32. |

I'm getting the "FRIMEncode has stopped working" message on several different disks, right at the start of on the main movie reencode:

Could that be it? |

Possibly. I have the 3D version of "Wizard of Oz" in my collection. I can test it with AnyDVD. Can you post your settings (BDREBUILDER.INI) so I can make sure we're consistent?
Interesting that it looks like FRIM worked on first stream but failed on the main feature. |

Unfortunately the issue seems to be in FRIM itself -- and it only seems to be associated with that disc. I tried several other 3D discs with no issues. But for some reason FRIM's decoder cannot decode that specific 3D stream. The same is true for FRIM's AVISYNTH plugin. I'll do some more testing, but it's unlikely that I'll be able to do anything about it since it's out of my control.

@Easypoints
In the meantime, if a movie-only backup is adequate, you can deselect a few of the audio tracks and create a no-reencoding-required ISO backup using TSMUXER that will fit on a BD-25. Last edited by jdobbs; 27th March 2016 at 17:08. |

@jdobbs just encountered the first disc i think my bd85 wouldn't play natively but i don't think the player's at fault. When i loaded the disc in BDRB i was greeted with the following. I've never seen this one before. What should i use? I'm guessing that same error is the cause why my player tries loading a couple times (loudly), then displays STOP, and when i press play again "that function is not available". Reinsert disc = repeat.

Issues with MockingJay Part 2
I have burned MockingJay Part 2 twice now and I still have the same issue. I have upgraded to the latest version. The video skips frames, you can watch the jet flyers skip through space.The audio is out of sync. I am burning the movie only to a 25 Gbyte disk and my log file is as follows:

I have seen this once or twice. AFAIK I clicked yes and had no playback issues. I didn't try the other options though. I suspect the message comes from DGdecNV which discovers an ambiguity in the audio stream definition which it doesn't want to resolve unattended. Try to open the .m2ts stream directly in DGIndexNV and see if you get the same message. If so, you could ask for more details in the rationaleqm.us forum, or select another decoder and see if it makes a difference.

@ Eazypoints RE: I'm getting the "FRIMEncode has stopped working" message on several different disks, right at the start of on the main movie reencode:
When I did "The Wizard of OZ 3D", I had the same problems. Run BD_RB and do a "full disk" custom size of 50000 and rebuild to a Blu-ray folder. Take that folder and feed it back to BD_Rebuilder and it will complete successfully with a smaller size. I don't really know why, but it worked for me. |

Just knowing that BD-RB can rebuild it into a structure that is more compatible with FRIM and the Intel SDK than the original is a pretty satisfying thought. [Edit] Additional note: In the case of "The Wizard of Oz 3D", if you just select the languages you need and allow the default conversion from DTS to AC3, the output of the no-encode full-disc backup is small enough to put on a BD-25 already -- and you don't even need to do the second encode. You have a full disc backup with a perfect representation of the original video! Last edited by jdobbs; 28th March 2016 at 19:03. |
