Well, the issue is reproducible here. I re-installed the new version, tried with another source, and it failed again. I resize to 720p. It crashes with the first attempt for CRF prediction.
Reverting to the former haali version cured the problem. Maybe it's only with my system? I am on Vista.
Would the new haali version have any significant benefit for the DB-RB application?

Looks like it worked, it installed. I'll rebuild my first bluray tonight.

BTW, anyone know of good BR playback software that will allow me to take a screen capture that I can export to a photo manipulation program like Photoshop? They used to have it (Single Frame Screen Capture) in Power DVD, but they did away with it!

I'll try a couple discs using CRF and see how it goes.

Nothing significant to BD-RB that I can think of... and definitely no dependencies. I was just trying to keep a little more current. The older version is fine.

@All

Has anyone else had any problems with the HAALI upgrade?

You can play the M2TS files directly with MPC and do a pause followed by a screen capture. Then just paste it into MSPAINT.

Not sure where the problem is but it seems like I started to have issues with the last 2 versions of BD Rebuilder. I use Anydvd to rip. At least 1/2 the BD's I rip won't play on my Sony BD Player, which I've had for < 2 years. They play (AUTO) fine on my PC. The seems to encode fine (no errors) but show UNKNOWN in my player. I have no idea where to start tracking down the problem. The blanks I use are the same I have always used.

HELP !!!!!!

Almost definitely the media or the way it is being burned. Check your settings in the burning software. Even better, let BD-RB do the burn automatically through IMGBURN.

I am using IMGBURN as I have been all along.

The media is from the same batch that I have burned with no issue all along. I'm really stumped.

@ Ch3vr0n RE:@Richard: No real player allows this afaik.

ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 5 has a way to capture a 1280x544 jpeg thumbnail by hitting (P) or right click the playback screen and (Capture Image) and saves in my documents (ArcSoft) by default. I know it's not a HD pict but works for me to do thumbs on my Movie folders. Don't know if there is a setting to increase the default image quality. Hope this helps, worknstiff

Off topic of bugs report, but DGMPGDEC or dgavcdec will let you capture a still bmp at full resolution.

Just use the MPC player that is in the tools directory of bd_rebuilder. Pause the image you want to save and select "save image" from the file menu. It will allow you to save the image on the screen. It saves it in whatever resolution the clip is in. You can save to a .bmp, .jpg, or .png. You can also do thumbnails.

Weird that both MPC and WMP will not play any sound, is there something I'm missing? However, VLC plays the sound perfectly.

Still using MatroskaSplitter110109.exe (702kB). Last time I had sync issues with the audio when upgrading to the latest version of Haali.

@sytyguy, check Play -> Filters -> DTS Decoder (or whatever the format) is set up correctly.

No. Not if it is the same drive that is creating it.

That could be because it is HD audio.

Thanks for the reply, but on selecting "filters" there is nothing indicating any kind of audio setting.

What is there, are the following:
Video Mixing Render 9 (Renderless), and ffdshow Video Decoder.
