A quick word to tell you I'm still looking forward to the test-build madshi (with "* last video frame is now remembered for 2 seconds when stopping graph" disabled or optional, to test if it's the change responsible for the DVD playback crash on XP).
(no hurry, just worried you'll forget ^^;)

Is there still a possibility that nearest neighbor image upscaling will return one day? I know it may seem niche, but it's really nice for vintage gameplay footage. Sad to see something go away due to UI design decisions.

Hey folks! Would appreciate some thoughts on my issues with HDR output to an LG OLED using MadVR
https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.p...07#post1811007 [edit] Never mind, this is the same FSE problems with latest nVidia drivers that was discussed a few pages back[/edit] Last edited by Blue_MiSfit; 3rd July 2017 at 01:02. |

So I am still in the situation whereby I can only get HDR if FSE is disabled and if I hover over certain system tray icons. It times out after a few seconds though and goes back to washed out colors. I can only get it to stick if I actually click on the MadVR systray icon and don't move or click away for several seconds. After that I can click anywhere and it stays in HDR mode. EXCEPT if I click on the MPC video playback window.
AMD RX 480 with latest drivers. Is this an AMD driver issue? Why does it work OK with Win10's Film & TV player? EDIT: Sorry just noticed the post(s) above already mentioning it. Last edited by oddball; 3rd July 2017 at 02:26. |

Tested the new v0.91.11 build last night
Now my TV can automatically switch to HDR mode in MPC-BE x64 even in Windowed mode The seeking time is significantly faster in HDR mode compare to the last build Great update! Madshi! Last edited by johnnylaiyee; 3rd July 2017 at 03:15. |

I get dropping and repeating frames if I use custom display modes like 2160p23. If I disable custom display modes and run it in 2160p60 it runs without drops. Input material are 1080p h264 mkv's
Im using NGU AA high for upscaling the rest is set to "let madvr decide". Chrome Upscaling is set to NNEDI3 32 neurons. Intel 4790K, GTX 980TI OC. Playing on a 2160p 10-bit TV Any suggestions? |

2160p60 with smooth motion enabled if there would be judder without it is what I would use in your case.

For me under Win 8.1 64 things are a little different. It switches into HDR fine, INCLUDING under Full Screen Exclusive with the latest (384) Nvidia drivers.
However, it will NEVER switch back to SDR. My LG OLED will switch to SDR when I switch inputs but it will go back to HDR when I switch back to the PC. The only way I can get back to SDR with the PC is to re-boot. By any chance, is something like 3D Vision required? Currently, I do not have it installed. |

Haven't tried this in a while (since before Creators Update ) so ... is 3D not working with Creators Update ?
Cause when I'm trying to play a BD 3D my TV "flickers" a few times (like it's trying to enter in 3D mode ... ) and then windows is crashing HD7790 + Crimson 17.6.2 beta + LAVFilters-0.70.1 + madVR v0.91.11 + MPC-BE 1.5.1.2685

Read madshis recent status post. AMD is not a good choice for HDR at this time.

When he does, you'll find it in this thread. Until then, patience.

Yes, this is why those options exist. Make sure to disable the "Use DXVA chroma upscaling..." trade quality for performance options.
