NVENCCRE v10.14
For those who are having subtitle issues with NVENCCRE when using "Keep Original Video (intact)", please try this version. You can replace the one included in the BD-RB folder. Give it some tests and let me know if it works ok for you now.
Please note that there are three options under the SUBTITLES menu item (1. "Keep Internal Subtitles", 2. "Convert BD/DVD Subtitles to SRT", and 3. "Add external subtitle"). Here is how they affect each other: If 1 is selected, internal subtitles will be kept. If 2 is selected, any graphical subtitles (PGS/VOBSUB) will be converted to SRT If 3 is selected, any SRT with the same name/folder as a source will be included. If you only want to keep an SRT and not the original graphical subtitles, deselect 1. Be careful, though, as any and all internal subtitles will be ignored (other than what is converted to SRT, assuming it is selected). |

IMHO, slim to none chance. Why? Because it would require the purchase of another computer system with the Intel graphics card. Pretty much everyone here uses the nVideo graphics card. Plus the number of people that would use said Intel card is extremely small. No ROI.

Hello, Thanks for your perspective. I appreciate the thought behind your analysis but I think there's a misunderstanding here. While I understand your point about needing a new system with an Intel graphics card, I'd like to clarify that the QSVEncC support extends beyond the specific Intel Arc A750 card. It is indeed applicable to various Intel integrated GPUs (iGPUs) that come inbuilt in many standard PCs, especially those with Intel CPUs. These Intel iGPUs are ubiquitous and certainly not limited to a small number of people as you suggest. Implementing QSVEncC, therefore, does not necessarily mean a need for users to purchase a new computer system. Rather, it could potentially unlock additional encoding efficiency for a substantial number of existing Intel CPU users. As for the nVideo graphics card you've mentioned, it's notable to mention that not everyone is limited to this single choice, and having additional encoding options can only strengthen the tool's capabilities, increasing its appeal to a wider user base. The ROI might not be immediately obvious, but it's important to consider long-term usability and broad accessibility as well. I hope this provides some clarity and prompts reconsideration of the idea. Thank you again for your input and discussion. |

I'm sure there are plenty of Intel CPU users with nVidea cards. If an Intel CPU user doesn't have an Intel GPU, he supports software only encoding (H2.64 and H.265), which takes many hours longer than nVideo hardware support. For jdobbs to support software that supports the Intel GPU, it would mean another computer system containing said GPU. If I were charging for the software, then there might be incentive to support other encoders/hardware. But, jdobbs does not. So, where is the incentive to do so? His focus is on nVideo GPU decoding/encoding. Obviously I cannot speak for jdobbs. This is my take.

The error from the command line is this: Stream map '0:s:1' matches no streams. To ignore this, add a trailing '?' to the map. But... could it be the '0:s:1' needs to be '0:s:0' ? Last edited by musiclover; 17th July 2023 at 09:59. |

Thanks for all the help with my past efforts for the 'GUILTY CONSCIENCE' movie, it turned out better than I had expected.
Now... I have a REAL challenge if anyone has any 'easily implemented' suggestions ![]() I have really old AVI files of the 1987 series 'Werewolf' There are no official sources with the exception of the recent French release which uses very similar SD sources since the original negatives are not available. I am also checking with some online sources where they offer DVD sets. The one at Rarefilmsondvd is promising because they offer an 8 DVD set, which would hopefully suggest fairly high quality, perhaps 1st generation recordings. Other sites offer 3 and 4 DVD sets. So, I'm waiting to hear back from them. In the meantime though, I do have all the episodes in an ancient AVI format. I mean, considering, they aren't super horrible. But I was wanting to ask if there might be some suggestions as to some 'SIMPLE' scripts I might try to improve it. I don't really have to upscale it, I can leave it in it's original resolution and just let the player enlarge it. Here is a 5 minute snippet of the first 5 minutes of the Pilot. If anyone has any SIMPLE suggestions (in other words AVI script that I can actually get to run ![]() http://lathe-of-heaven.com/Werewolf.mkv Cheers! Jaime. |

Don't bother uploading a snippet. Anyone here can download it from YouTube, which I did. Actually it isn't bad, not bad at all. Except for one major thing: it is 25fps. Originally it was 480i29.97. Don't attempt to restore it to 23.976. The interlacing is gone and frames were melded together to get to 25fps. Just watch it as is.

I've sent a PM to you. But could you post the contents of NVLASTCMD.TXT right after the job has completed? Also, are you simply letting NVENCCRE run, or are you adding any steps or doing anything externally to the files? |
