@jdobbs

Another bug report: Did "con air" using latest bd-rb. Main movie is split across 3 m2ts files (00000.m2ts, 00008.m2ts, 00009.m2ts).
I have no idea why (no feature on the disc suggests a reason of why it's split)

Anyway, BD-RB output (bd25 full backup) hangs on playback in the point where the movie switches from 00000 to 00008.

Sorry, my bad. Turns out it was a powerdvd problem.

However, a different problem does exist - there is an audio gap noticeable in the movie when it swtiches from 00000 to 00008.
I reported this issue on a different title before (I think it was on the movie 21).

I have done this disc fine but I'm currently re-doing The Godfather II (I had blank disc issues with the first one I did) and have also had an Encode Failed. I have gone back to an earlier version of bd-r and it's doing the troublesome file at the moment.

**The Godfather II completed fine using 21.01

Bare in mind there are different regional versions of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (They have different BD+ protection and differ more than most releases)...Also maybe the people who got it to work are talking about the 50s version

Quite right. I have done the Region A version of the new film to full disc on both dvd-9 and bd-25.

On mine 00254.m2ts is a diddy file, second to last on the disc (00255 is the last and is also small). If all you require is to complete the disc just advance on manually and copy them.

Benjamin Button EUR full complete backup went oversize by maybe 1%, just enough not to fit the disc. So it was no saturation before. Something must have gone wrong in 0.23.01 and fixed in 0.23.02.

Why not demux the DTS Express track found on PIP tracks then encode it to AC3 with aften and mux that back in place of the DTS Express track and make modifications needed to the mpls\clpi files?

Using AC3 for PIP tracks is within the standards right?

EDIT - I added the M2Ts and incremented past in order to try rebuilding but got the message

"One or more reencoded files are missing (oo384.clpi)

EDIT2 - Added clpi files found in original directory and get "Failure to multiplex"
Any more ideas on what i can do to salvage this one before I erase it all and chalk it up to a fail? It looks like the structure is being rebuilt up to the inclusion of the 9 small problem files at the end. Can I just copy those into the new structure or are them some final important steps that will be missing? I think this is a seamless branching issue to be honest.

The clpi file is created by tsmuxer not bd-rb and tsmuxer does not have the ability to set the correct PID of the secondary audio.

????Why not?

Just copy the two files and clpi to the workfiles directory, increase the increment log by two and that should work.

As I said above I have done this and Region A is USA. It would have been an earlier version of br-rb, so perhaps drop back a couple of versions.

You need to copy the m2ts files from the original BMDV\STREAM to the working directory and also the corresponding clpi from BMDV\CLIPINF, then increment the .inf file for each one you have replaced.

I can't find anything that decodes it either (to reencode). It isn't recognized as standard DTS. Also, the only types of streams allowed for secondary audio are DTS Express and Dolby Digital Plus -- and I don't know of any freeware encoders for those.

Used BD-RB 22.02 but will try again tonight with the latest version see if I get the same resaults. If there is some specific info needed from BD-RB or someone is curious let me know.

I just used the standard settings. x264 mode, BD25, Slowest speed.

Great app btw, this is the only disk i've had a problem with trying to backup.

Thanks for the hard work JDobbs!
I've modified my muxing parameters for the next version to be more accurate. Dolby TrueHD is the cause of most oversizing. It isn't unusual to see 40% muxing overhead (in TSMUXER) on those streams.
