Avarage number of unique colors analysing program
Do you kow prgram that can analyse video quality by counting number of unique colors in video source?
With some interval frames will be measured and average calculated. It would help me to determine optimal bitrate for DVD BU. Or is ther other techniques? Thanks for any help ![]() -------------- Edit I found out changing bitrate wont change unique colors number. 120 sequential frames: vob @ 5213Kbps 186138 unique colors X264 @ 2000Kbps 169788 unique colors XviD @ 2000Kbps 179657 unique colors X264 @ 1500Kbps 169817 unique colors X264 @ 1000Kbps 169784 unique colors Last edited by hopstiii; 26th May 2009 at 21:18. One more test with only 29 frames. (doesn't show useful info) ![]() Total nr of unique colors per 29 frames with 400 frame intervall: RAW vob @ 5213Kbps 180934 X264 @ 2000Kbps 166196 X264 @ 1500Kbps 166481 X264 @ 1000Kbps 166682 |

With 900 frames:
vob @ 5213Kbps 458047 colors, 100% X264 @ 2000Kbps 446249 colors, 97,424% X264 @ 1500Kbps 446885 colors, 97,563% X264 @ 1000Kbps 448032 colors, 97,813% I guess i can't measure bitrate quality with nr. of colors. ![]() Isn't it possible to tell "x" bitrate x264 is 100% of DVD vob quality? |
