Jump to bluray menu directly
I have some German blurays to which I added audio and subtitles (my language) but they have a lot of trailers in German, and it's a bit annoying to watch them without understanding anything. Is there a way to modify something so that the bluray starts and jumps directly to the menu.
Also, is there a way to cancel the "trailers" button in the menu? It doesn't matter if you delete the text, just the command, of course, so as not to ruin the navigation? The menus are Java |

You may use the ‘Scenarist QC’ player to inspect commands and ‘BDEdit’ to modify them according to your requirements. We truly miss having software that offers the same functionalities for Blu-rays as PGCEdit did for DVDs.

It depends on when the trailers play... Can you till if they play BEFORE the Java loads? Or do you see a loading icon first, then the trailers? If it's trailers first, you can probably easily modify the disc with BDEdit to jump straight to the Java title and load the menus.
If it obviously loads the Java first, then it depends on the studio. Some of the Java the studios used is easy to manipulate by editing text files in the JAR directories. A little more complicated would be editing text files in the JAR itself (then you need to recreate the JAR and maybe re-sign it depending on the player you are using). Othertimes all the playback is coded in the Java code itself and is usually not worth the effort to try to hack... You can always just replace the trailers with a 1-second piece of black video, then you just have to watch a couple of seconds of black before the menus load... As for the Trailers button itself, might be editable via text files as well... Just have to look through the files in the JAR directory and see if there's anything obvious... |
