At long last! I saw the "leak" has the seekbar preview. Gotta try this right away.
Edit: Request: Can you make the filename's font inside the seekbar respect cleartype setting?

Unchecking "Auto-load Subtitles" doesn't disable the internal subtitle renderer or gray out the Subtitles context menu during playback.
Unchecking "Enable built-in audio switcher filter" and restarting MPC-BE doesn't gray out the Audio context menu during playback. |

"Enable built-in audio switcher filter" & Audio Context Menu - they are different things, they have nothing in common.

I don't care so much about Audio menu, but there should be a way to completely disable the internal subtitle renderer from loading any subtitles, which also prevents it from being enabled via context menus or hotkeys during playback. In MPC-HC the "Auto-load subtitles" check-box has that function, but it doesn't seem to have been replaced anywhere in MPC-BE. |

No. It's sub-menu does not interfere VSFilter or other subtitle filter.

Why isn't there a public source repository so we can view individual changes?
Is there a list of changes and bugfixes compared to MPC-HC?

I'm glad there's an official thread here for MPC-BE. I already switched player from MPC-HC to MPC-BE. I like the icons / GUI very much! I hope you replace the default Subtitle Filter to xy-VSFilter. Thanks!

At the current stage of development, it is not included in our top-priority tasks. Maybe later...

Thanks for this, I really like that it's darker, less distracting then the old BE mod and putting the time counter on the status bar is a great idea.
One issue is preventing me from switching to it from BE 4360 is save window size and/or position is unreliable, works maybe 50% of the time. I like to watch in full window mode but half the time it's opening as a window with the same resolution of the video. Any chance for a fix? Also a few requests: - Use a wider font or bold for time so it's easier to read. - Option to auto hide title bar, Splayer has this, and while frame only with no borders has some effect, it breaks save window size/position on old be mod and it's also nice to have access to the title bar on demand. - Option to hide toolbars in window mode, could work just like fullscreen mode hiding. |

Well, it does say "SVN Build: 1122" in the About window... :P
EDIT: - Love the seekbar preview feature. Nice touch there! But "Use the preview in the search"? How about something like "Show video preview on the seekbar" (or something similar)? - MPC-HC's "Output" settings tab looks better. - Any chance for a "Lite" version? - Any chance to change the default subtitle rendering resolution to "Desktop"? - Why doesn't the window auto-resizes to the video's resolution when you open a file? Changed defaults? How do I make it act like it did in MPC-HC? - Program's icon looks great. - "Logo" settings tab can be removed IMO. Last edited by Superb; 13th September 2012 at 05:01. |
