MPC Won't Play Audio Correctly
My Media Player Classic used to play everything without a problem.
But nowadays it will not properly play the sound on the .avi files created by my canon Powershot cameras. There is some sound but it is crackly and faint and interrupted - a bit like radio sound trying to get through a stormy atmosphere. These files are okay. I can play them with VLC alright and Nero Showtime, for instance. And it used to be that MPC would play them. Well, those from the Canon Powershot A520, anyway. The other camera is a Powershot A480 and we just got it so those files are new. I've downloaded and tried a standalone version of MPC (I mean instead of the version that came with realalternative) that I installed in a dir and ran myself but it made no difference. I've installed the Klite codec pack. that made no difference. Anyone got any ideas how I can trouble shoot this problem? regards, ab p.s. gspot reports no codec required for audio and codecs installed for video. Playing the file from gspot it will use MPC and the playback will, again, be scratchy, faint, interrupted. Last edited by abrogard; 20th July 2009 at 22:16. Reason: added more info |
